@38:40 I realize you guys aren't the ones saying "the United States has always been on the path to war". I feel the previous US administration made countless diplomatic and military mistakes to bring about worries for a possible 3rd world war. I don't believe the US was always on a "path to war". More so Russia are the ones who were on a path to war. US and NATO are just in their way.

I agree with 5% GDP spending, partially to simply put up more factories, so we can produce more, at different locations. Not every country has to be able to produce everything, you can split them strategically, but we NEED the ability to ramp up production FAST, as in, have factories setup, able to be spun up basically in no time, crank out more guns, ammo, weapon systems, vehicles, equipment. Right now all of the EU NATO countries can throw 5% GDP at some production plants, but they simply will not be able to produce enough, meaning fast enough. And then if something happens to a few of those plants, we're in bigger trouble. We've been slacking, i've not been happy with it for many years, but who am i !?

Your information about Fatah was illuminating. I did not know about most of that, only the modern (post-2000) stuff. I would add only as color commentary that Hamas -just as a political organization & disregarding Hamas' other, more nefarious activities- is an institutional descendant of the Muslim Brotherhood who are based in Egypt. The Muslim Brotherhood (motto: "Islam Is The Answer") in 2012 got a fair chance at governing Egypt when Mohamed Morsi -& by extension his political base, the Brotherhood- was popularly elected to lead Egypt. This was after the Brotherhood had already contested for & won a plurality of Egyptian parliament seats the Year before in 2011. And Morsi and the Brotherhood screwed that chance up. There are several reasons how & why the Brotherhood screwed up, & not all of those reasons are due to shortcomings in the Brotherhood's ways or means, however enough things were going wrong that were visibly & logically linked to their policies, lack of decisiveness, & general lack of knowledge to fault their leadership. Egypt gave them a Year to succeed, and they then proceeded to fail.

NATO doesn't need to deploy a navy to the Baltic to sink the Russians. Land-basd missils or jets with standoff missiles could sink the fleet, not to mention drone torpedo craft. Surrounded by land, the Black Sea is a death trap for ships.

Enforcer, could you help me in my edification of Russia and China real capabilities in the event of a global conflict. From what I understand Russia’s corrupt military is out of trained troops with even elite units watered down with raw recruits to try to fill out their ranks. Their infantry lacks proper equipment (are they still issuing paint ball vests?) and are even falling back on issuing North Korean small arms. No armor to speak of as their tanks and armored fighting vehicles are reduced to the point that civilian vehicles are being used to support attacks. Constant reduction in artillery support (not sure what the North Korean mobile artillery (and shells 😄) are actually contributing or not. Severe aircraft and pilot shortages with an increasing inability to make repairs. Unmaintained navel vessels that are falling apart. I believe that the Moscov had only one operational anti missile/aircraft battery and that was turned off due to internal ship interference. And China is even more corrupt than the Russians with every toted advanced military hardware from stealth fighter to aircraft carrier being not much more than barely operational junk. They have also no combat experience and seem mostly designed to make impressive parades in their polished equipment. So, other than massed waves of untrained troops (and nukes of course…if they work), what capabilities do they really have against the west? Thank you if you can clarify this for me. P.s. major fan. Keep up the good work. Go West!

It makes no sense to put defense spending up to 5% of GDP. Because frankly, what troops and material do the Russians have left? They can't even liberate their own Kursk region. Imagine if they try to step into Poland and then the entire technologically superior force of NATO comes into play. So far the Russians have been dealing with 90s tech, sent by both US and EU. The question is, do we need 5% spending on GDP? And if yes, what are countries supposed to buy? The MAD doctrine still is in effect. Any action against a NATO country will be resulting in a full conflict with NATO and that most likely will end up with a nuclear conflict. So whether we spend 2, 3 or 5% does not really matter. But we could use some more ships in the Baltic.

And also...The Baltic states could easily mine the outlet from the Finnish Bay and thereby effectivly lock the Russians up in Kaliningrad.

Denmark, Sweden, and Germany can block the western end of the Baltic because their territorial waters meet, and not allow any ships through from or to Kaliningrad and St Petersburg, cutting off the Koskolovo and Vysotsk oil transhipment docks, and the other general goods docks of St Petersburg. While ships are allowed "innocent passage" through territorial waters, the Russians are clearly not innocent.

Talk of a third world war is idiotic. Russian can't attack anyone else. They can't even defend their own territory. Their skies are completely open. Any NATO country country could de-fang them in a few days. Their missiles can't launch and they have not maintained their nuclear warheads. They are even more of a paper tiger than they were 3 years ago.

The situation with Egypt tanks.. they're there for a reason. Not likely an invasion of Israel territory.. Gaza. Maybe they are trying to create a diversion to force Israel to reposition toops to blunt or limit an advance that they believe Israel might make into Leb? By forcing Israel to think about it, they then might limit action?... if it was in their interest to do that.. Although I wasnt really aware of hostilities between the two. I cant see any reason to deploy heavy armour to bolster their own security again militant elements spilling out of Gaza.. or that they might be expecting an Israel advance into Egypt either. hmm.. thats all I can think of...
