What a gorgeous home. Unlike anything in the urban areas. And not to mention houses in other countries. Also, quiet affordable. Most can probably invest more to even modernize it completely to some standard, making it an even more of an amazing home. But one thing to note is probably that you need language skills as well as handiworking skills. Living in rural probably means having to say goodbye to most modern convienances.

Ideally every year but given that we are using handmade paper probably once every 5-10 years would be nice.

I dont mean to be to abrassive but this is not step 1 of natural farming. Of seed ball macking yes. But not natural farming Step 1 is to become natural farmer. Or to atune to nature. If you just make seed ball based from assumption and opnion its just religion. And have lost fundamental idea. But spirituality is needed it is(atunement to nature). To know you must experience the oneness of everything around us. We eat food(earth) breath (air) we house (water) and (Fire,heat) aswell as (space) all of this becomes us so in a way we are just a product of those elements, we are those elements our bodies are. Our minds are a gathering of our experiences, but domt you feel there is something else that you are that is more then this body and mind. Pay attetntion to that. And all your questions will be answered. If an example is needed. Bugs such as cicadas wake up once every 17 years or something this is an example of atunement to nature they know when its time to wake up no alarm, 😂. Another example is the memory of seeds to plant themselves, continuing forest fir generations, they are doing this with no help even against our human activities that deter this. It knows when to plant itself because its atuned to nature. Much in the same way fukuoka wanted people to find their own way to the truths of nature the, clay balls were "a" method to employ this curtainly an amazing one. But it is just way for humans do what nature has been doing all along. Just making clay balls to achieve a natural farm. Is not creating a nature farm. Said Fukuoka-san you need nature people only then. Its hard to put shortly. To have natural people many realizations must happen and continuous concious effort towards our actions. Realizations such as, how mundane humans are in the cosmic scale of existance. If all the worms were gone, today life would cease in about 1 year, if all the insects dissapeared 4-6 years, if all the birds, something like 6-14 years. But if humans dissapear the planet will continue to flourish. This is not to point out the fact we obviously treat this planet poorly. But to show the impact we actually have. We are so mundane compared to the creatures keeping this planet alive. It doesnt need us. But with what we have caused it throughout history it needs our conciousness to turn it back around. For fukuoka these seeds balls were his turn around. By 2050 there is estimated to be around 10 billion people if at least a third or more can become atuned to nature or if scientific finding can help people realize to dire situation our earth is in we might possibly be able to turn this around. This is the foundation of natural farming in my opinion, having been exposed to Fukuoka. This is a challenge to sustain life on earth, ecologically, nurishment to peoples, and education.

I would love love love a home like this and live in Japan forever!!! Very little to make last another 30 years. I'm am looking at homes here in America that are 650sf and I'm crippled and live on a fixed income due to breaking my back...TWICE! I AM TRIED OF LIVING IN AMERICA!! The homes I look at are dumps and are 150k, small, old and really in my eyes worth nothing at all. I need a home like this and make the giant leap to Japan. I love the people, culture, food, and way of life immensely!! I need to start my life of working hard, to being happy and finally being able to live free and worry free. It's a big ask...

You can’t, really. Not quickly or easily anyway. Especially if you don’t want to learn another language. You can’t really live in Japan permanently if you’re refusing to speak Japanese. Japanese people are not going to speak English lol

11:36 Cresol is now forbidden in certain countries due to its toxicity. A woodworking video about wood treatment effectiveness I saw mentioned this. I googled it further and found an article that says: Its main toxicity is due to denaturation and precipitation of cellular proteins and thus poisons all cells directly. It can be absorbed following inhalation, oral, or dermal exposure. Its poisoning can be fatal.

Sorry, i am not from your country. So please apologize if my question is kinda dumb. What are you doing in winter? Isn't it super cold with these kinda walls? And what about heating costs? How do you even heat such a traditional home? I am really interested in that topic and would really appreciate if you find the time to answer my questions. Thanks and best regards.

Hi, we repair and build things in the winter. It is cold here but we spot heat, so kerosene heaters (with deodorisers so they don’t smell), electric blankets, and nice hot sake.

@@Ryunohara haha Great. The sake post made me laugh out loud. 😂 And thank you very much for that super fast reply! <3 if you don’t mind, i have one more question: isn’t the cold air coming inside even if all of these sliding doors are closed? And do you heat at night times as well in the winter (the room you sleep inside)? And again, it is really great that you answer to a comment of a video which is some years old. Really great support. So Thanks for that!
@Ryunohara

@@mutsu-tv You're welcome! The cold air comes in through the gaps between the sliding doors and pillars because the house isn't perfectly straight, but I'm used to it now. I heat the room with the kerosene heater just before I go to bed, and the electric blanket alone usually does the trick for me.
