Or do I have incorrect information? I hope such a recording exists.

Regarding Troiano and "His direction is not at all towards rock and roll." Compare with his time in the Guess Who, when Burton Cummings was absolutely over the moon about his playing and his writing when he joined, but yet, after two albums, Cummings had had enough of the jazz-fusion direction and burned his show biz shoes. I haven't heard any of the post-Walsh albums in some decades, and I owe it to both DT and TB to revisit them.

Tommy was a player of whom the other 4 of Deep Purple thought he could keep up with Ritchie, that should tell you something...but then it was just around that time that his fondness for life on the edge cut short first his capability, then his life. WHAT A PITY!! Tommy was a genius and should be recognised as such...but alas, see above...

One of the ultimate greats in the world of guitar playing no matter who he played with or what style he was on top of his game & i still loved all he did with Zepher in the early days when Candy Givens was as hot as volcano which let Tommy & the band cook like the gates of hell were open. We miss him as does the whole world of Rock & guitarists that know just who he was. . 🎸🔥
