I was only beginning to experiment with natural pottery when I moved here to the Central Valley (Corcoran). When I got here, I began perfecting my work, but could never quite get it right. Maybe the clay was not tempered enough, or maybe the fire wasn't right. I fire my pottery naturally, on the earth. I create and refine my clay from the Earth around me. It's just kind of my thing. I tell you this for the following reason. When the big rains came, and the huge snow runoff, enormous quantities of clay were churned up from a few feet under the surface, below where cow manure and other farm "bullshit" had fouled it. When some roads opened, and I was driving along one of the canals, I had to pull over and stop my car. Chunks, piles, of beautiful, almost pure clay was there looking back at me. I gathered up what I could in my little 5 gallon bucket and went home. I refined it, which is a process, and it is the most wonderful clay I think I've ever worked with. My heart skipped a beat when I learned that the Tachi people have said they were created from the sediment at the bottom of Tulare lake. I realized that I had in my hands something so sacred, emerging from the places long ago buried, I kind of swallowed hard and wanted to cry. I have always called the Earth my mother, and I see that you do too. I know now the true Spirit of what I hold in my hands. I'm beyond grateful. Thank you for teaching me this. Thank you for everything. 🤍❤️🖤💛

Thank you for these pictures and stories. I turned 50 this year and have been in this country since I was one. We have lost so much history of how our parents, brothers and sisters, and neighbors struggled, suffered, and persevered. These pictures and your stories were so powerful.

Mr. Beery, I don't know if you can read my notes here. If you can I want to say thank you to you for having that audacity to share about how you came to know the Hmong people during your years of service in Laos. I know it is hard for you to hold back those story all these to tell the world about the Hmong people. One day, I went to shopping at Home Depot. There is a white work there. He asked me, "Are you Hmong?" I answered, Yes, I am sir. He was in tear and said to me. I am a soldier fought during the Vietnam War. I want to let you know that, we the American people owe your people a lot. We cannot ever repay the Hmong people. He lead me to his locker and show me his purple heart medal. He said, "Without the Hmong soldier I will not be here today." I had a good conversation with him before I left the store. When I watch you documentary it brought to tears. We the Hmong gave thousand of ours 10-12 years to fight for the America during the Vietnam War. Why those children have to died for America? Because we are dedicated ours life for America. I hope your documentary will open a true story to many people to see how loyalty the Hmong are. Thank you.

This is only a few short stories of a whole group of people. A people that have been fighting all their lives. Every Hmong family has a story. Let's all take the time to appreciate where we came from and appreciate this video and the people behind it. We are survivors and we can do great things don't forget that.

Great day. Dope video! Question: would you suggest the same settings the shotgun that you would for an external mic? Using an AKG P220 and a Canon EOS 250D.

Where in this PRIDE Parade is the Heterosexual Community? The Heterosexual Community is the largest community in both the US and around the World, so why is the CIS Heterosexual Community not also represented in this Parade? Keep in mind that the vast majority of INTERSEX individuals are in CIS Heterosexual relationships.

Where in this PRIDE Parade was INTERSEX represented? I thought that INTERSEX was part of the LGBTQ--"I"--A+, so where is the "I" in this Parade? Many in the INTERSEX COMMUNITY are feeling EXCLUDED from the so-called INCLUSIVE nature of PRIDE.

On KZbin. Look up Fresno County Department of Social Services - CalSaws on the search bar. This video shows several Fresno County - Department of Social Services - Division Chiefs singing and dancing while at work. They were "celebrating" the transition from CalWin to CalSaws. The new system, CalSaws, is a computer application being used by staff to issue benefits to people receiving public assistance. The transition was a complete disaster as the training was very ineffective. All the workers with Fresno County DSS were not adequately trained on how to use the new system. Sadly, a month after this video was made, the Board of Supervisors voted 5-0 to give the Division Chiefs a 30% raise. They are currently making $115,000 a year and will soon be making $130,000 a year by 2026. Six of these Division Chiefs are in this video. Worse yet, you had people in need applying for benefits only to find out there was going to be a delay in receiving them since nobody was trained properly on how to use the CalSaws System. But hey ! At least these Division Chiefs can sing and dance about it. Right ?
