No we uncryod them outside the volcano and carried them 1 by 1 to the entrance with a rhynio. A bit tedious lol

Dedinitely seems like they changed it in ASA. We were thinking the same thing until we got into the boss fight arena, but the time is i fact, cumulative - including killing the boss. Thankfully, we didnt have to find out, thanks to killing the boss with a minute left on the timer lol.

Timer is still active during ASE BOSS fight too

Yea I also seen from another video the timer is only for the cave part on asa it don't matter if it goes zero on the boss fight

yes, I think a recent patch fixed the AI inside caves so you can no longer run through the mobs this easily. A high Level bary with good HP/MD would be ideal!

Not unless another player character is around to keep it rendered, which maybe easier to do on official than Single Player.

Never a bad idea to go a little higher than a a behe gate, but if I am not mistaken, our most current trap is not too much higher than that.

I did get it to impregnate the bronto but I walked the bronto out of the trap and the rhynio flew away after it impregnated it. I'd like to get this trap working and avoid players killing the rhynio if they see me taming it because it's official pve. Thanks

The only real method we've discovered is simply to grind and keep killing bugs to reset spawns. Ideally, we look for levels between 140-150, but a tek Bino can also help identify great stats if it happens to be slightly lower.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised, nor opposed to variance. My skill points and paragon board follow the build, but aside from that, I've varied the gear somewhat.

I don't think so, as far as I know, this world boss appears on a timer in the overworld.

Are you having issues with finding it, or is it just not registering for you?

@@SmoggySpectereGaming not registered. I've done the fryers around for all dossiers but once I've got the bug it's not been ticked in the dossier. I'm achiement hunter on solo trying to tame all dinos. 2 left, rhyniognatha and titanosure.

That sounds like a bug with the fight itself. Strangely, I never encountered that. Did you submit a bug report?

We play in PC primarily, but with crossplay that would lead me to believe that it should work on console as well.

You're right. The truth is, there shouldn't need to be a gimick method for this tame to work properly as intended. I guess as long as they slap "early access" on it, they can get away with murder. Invisible Alpha Dragon is another really frustrating gamebreaking bug that serves no purpose other than meaningless time consumption. Been this way for months.

@frostbyte11 we tried as recently as a week ago and we succeeded in getting 12 brontos pregnant in an hour. My ttibemates often help others on our server with getting their brontos pregnant.

Yeah its definitely tough to see. Best way my tribemates and I bring it below 10% is with a primitive pistol. Sorry to hear that happened.

Definitely leave spaces open on either the 1st or 2nd pillar if you can, and keep playing around with positioning + render de-render. Once you get it to a sweet spot, it should work regularly.

I finaly got it, i tried to place my bronto in a pillar's hole to make him have a half in the Trap and it worked

This is a common problem with the ai where they get stuck in the melee/ranged attack cycle. If that keeps happening for you just rinse and repeat with de-rendering and you should eventually trigger the pregnancy animation. Sometimes it takes a few tries, but don't get discouraged. She will do it eventually.

@@SmoggySpectereGaming how high up should I have the gap in with the pillars? I take it it's necessary to have the rhynio impregnate the dino. And is it necessary to have the gap in the roof or can I completely box it over?

Also should I have it out of melee range or close enough to be melee?

as long as you cover the behe gates gap you should be fine. No need to seal off the whole thing. For the gaps try and alternate 1st or second pillar. For the range, you may have to reposition from time to time to find the sweet spot but generally close enough to melee. Hope this helps!@@emerald6136

We didn't find it made too much of a difference either way, but for the sake of utilizing the full timer on the pheromone, I would pop it after it's low.

The Rhynio is dying? I have never encountered that before. Raising it should be the same as any other baby once birthed.

This happened 3 times this week lol. The only response we got is that tickets are not being addressed at this time.

We did find it worked best with the trap design in the video, but in a nutshell, yes, you got it!

Worked great on the first two impregnations the 3rd kept hitting the pillar

TLDR; the singular most important piece of information in this video: de-render and re-render the bug to reset the behavioural AI. Rinse and repeat if it doesn't do pregnancy animation right away.
