Many of you asked on my previous video to include a build guide - so I figured I'd kick it up a notch. This was done on PVE Official Server. Complete with build guide, trapping, and the BEST method yet to maximize your pheromones, and get that Pregnancy Quickly!
Note It still may bug out at times where the pregnancy doesn't land or it will revert to attacking, but no more spending hours to get nothing. Hope you enjoy :)
***NOTE: If you are finding the Rhynio does not aggro to your bronto, replace the fourth gate with pillars only, and place gaps in your pillars towards the bottom**** I'll release updated version if needed

I trapped a 150, and it would not impregnate my Bronto. I'm not sure what I did wrong. I got his hp to like 250hp, and nothing . Yes it was a female. On the pillers do I leave spaces open or can I go all the way down ?

Definitely leave spaces open on either the 1st or 2nd pillar if you can, and keep playing around with positioning + render de-render. Once you get it to a sweet spot, it should work regularly.

The rhynios for me wont even go higher. They just keep attacking lower. Why is this the case?

This is a common problem with the ai where they get stuck in the melee/ranged attack cycle. If that keeps happening for you just rinse and repeat with de-rendering and you should eventually trigger the pregnancy animation. Sometimes it takes a few tries, but don't get discouraged. She will do it eventually.

@@SmoggySpectereGaming how high up should I have the gap in with the pillars? I take it it's necessary to have the rhynio impregnate the dino. And is it necessary to have the gap in the roof or can I completely box it over?

Also should I have it out of melee range or close enough to be melee?

as long as you cover the behe gates gap you should be fine. No need to seal off the whole thing. For the gaps try and alternate 1st or second pillar. For the range, you may have to reposition from time to time to find the sweet spot but generally close enough to melee. Hope this helps!@@emerald6136

@@SmoggySpectereGaming not registered. I've done the fryers around for all dossiers but once I've got the bug it's not been ticked in the dossier. I'm achiement hunter on solo trying to tame all dinos. 2 left, rhyniognatha and titanosure.

I made a big box that goes as high as the behemouth gate, it would not impregnate the bronto in the box. Do I have to make the box higher?

Never a bad idea to go a little higher than a a behe gate, but if I am not mistaken, our most current trap is not too much higher than that.

I did get it to impregnate the bronto but I walked the bronto out of the trap and the rhynio flew away after it impregnated it. I'd like to get this trap working and avoid players killing the rhynio if they see me taming it because it's official pve. Thanks

Is this better than, building 2-3 behemoth gates, and just putting the bronto inside with the bug?

Made this trap recently and it went decently well first time using it and only took 2 phermones but since then my tribe has tried over 5 different Rhynios with multiple phermones and it’s just not impregnating our bronto. Most of the time when unrendering the Rhynio and we go back it’s just sat in one of the top corners towards the pillars and one other time we’ve seen it attempt to impregnate our bronto but sadly didn’t. Do you know what could possibly be causing this or what we may be doing wrong? as looking at your base and VODs it seems like it works well for you.

Hmm that can definitely happen. We did encounter this so I'd recommend a couple things. 1.) Try and render the bug towards your bronto. When derendering head in the direction that would aggro the bug towards your bronto 2.) Play around with pillar gaps and positioning. Once you hit the sweet spot you should be able to trigger it regularly.

The pillar is what prevents the stinger from making contact. The other issue might be that someone else is keeping the bug rendered while youre trying to derender.

on Official we think its a server high ping issue. We have much better success when server ping is low.

It looks like you removed a few pillars in seemingly strategic spots on the trap, was it experimental or does it have an effect on the impregnation

I am glad you noticed that! Thank you for pointing that out. There are different points on the trap where 1 of two things happen. 1.) The bug does the pregnancy animation but gets blocked by the trap. 2.) The bug has a difficult time recognizing the host and aggroing correctly. Definitely recommend removing some but no more than one pillar per column so the bug does not escape.

Yeah its definitely tough to see. Best way my tribemates and I bring it below 10% is with a primitive pistol. Sorry to hear that happened.

I had one trapped and let it out to impregnate my Diplo. All it would do is attack over and over. It continued to gain health beyond the 10%. So all I had to do was leave render distance to make it perform the impregnating attack?

We didn't find it made too much of a difference either way, but for the sake of utilizing the full timer on the pheromone, I would pop it after it's low.

Does the lvl of the bronto host effect stats or lvl of the bug or is all that tied to the cravings?

Great question, the best answer here is both! Cravings help determine egg quality while bronto stats have a 50/50 chance of being transferred over. Best way to get a high level bug is to satisfy all cravings and mutate your chosen host line, as well as a high level bug.

TLDR; the singular most important piece of information in this video: de-render and re-render the bug to reset the behavioural AI. Rinse and repeat if it doesn't do pregnancy animation right away.

I sat for 4 hours they will not lay eggs..tried several of them nothing I ended up having to go in single player and still nothing Forcetame is the only way. DEVELOPERS SUCK ON THIS ONE

You're right. The truth is, there shouldn't need to be a gimick method for this tame to work properly as intended. I guess as long as they slap "early access" on it, they can get away with murder. Invisible Alpha Dragon is another really frustrating gamebreaking bug that serves no purpose other than meaningless time consumption. Been this way for months.
