This is just my experience but Ill try to break down what Ive found after many many dollars spent on orings (I needed them anyway for other projects) 021 urethanes (theoringstore) are overkill and a smidge larger which may cause previously non leaking center piston orings (the supposed 011 one) to leak. 021 viton 90A (Amazon) perfect, bordering on overkill (I use these) 021 buna 90A/D (Amazon or oringsandmore) should last a good long while 011 urethane 90 w TODI (theoringstore) (white in color). Will possibly work for a short time, will slightly leak when colder, will slightly leak when used in conjunction with 021 urethanes (021 urethanes cause slight variances). Will blow out the barrel at times when co2 is punctured and soaking (dont buy) 011 polyether urethane 90 (theoringstore) (clearish white in color). Will possibly work for a short time, will slightly leak when colder, will slightly leak when used in conjunction with 021 urethanes (021 urethanes cause slight variances). Will blow out the barrel at times when co2 is punctured and soaking (dont buy) 13mm ID 1.5mm C/S PTFE WHITE (oringsandmore is cheaper) (theoringstore) work so GOOD on the plenum inner oring (between plenum and bolt) Jeffs 7.5mm ID 2mm C/S Buna 90s (oringsandmore) work well (for my x68), but may cause drop in velocity due to added friction. I didnt notice any drop to speak of. I dont like using BUNA here though so... I have what I think are the perfect solutions coming from china (custom urethanes and NOT 011s) The 021s are solved (see above). The supposed "011".. well a final solution I believe its on its way right now from china, and its exciting.

As for the 13x1.5 , I'm testing 13x1.5 buna 90 durometer at the moment, working great, I don't do soaking as i never leave them pressurized when not in use. I was testing some A014 & P007 HNBR O-rings from harbor freight, worked great..as for the 7.5x2 , didn't work for the 2 Pistelles we have so im testing the 011 polyurethane from Amazon that airgunner reviews channel recommended

Man, I know everyone loves this launcher. But we've all been shooting the tipx and the first strike for many many years and I have never seen so many videos on o-rings in my life. Whenever I think about purchasing this PX68 I see another o-ring video that reminds me why I haven't. I love all you guys to death, but Grimburg gave me extra o-rings for my Gavle, and I've never needed them. I have over 300 rounds and kept it in my car all summer and all winter, and everything still works perfectly. I appreciate everyone sharing what they're finding, but I don't want to spend $400 or $500 on something I have to worry about every time I pull the trigger. But I love watching your videos.

@TheJerzeyGuy I'm not saying anything is wrong with yours, I understand you're just testing. Everyone is testing O-rings because there is an issue across the community. I've never seen this kind of testing on any other weapon that has come out. No one would need to test this with different sets of o-rings if it was reliable. I can't comprehend why we all would continue to purchase something that will continuously fail us. If you reach out and ask your core subscribers, which I have done and asked them to email me, the feedback is overwhelming that these have had to go back more than once to be repaired because they don't have this knowledge or know-how to even attempt to work on one. To me the fact that so many community members continue to test O-rings proves that the subscribers are not fabricating their stories. It's scary that this is in the hands of so many people, and it often fails. It's just my thoughts on it.

@blackpowderpapa oh don't get me wrong, i know folks are having issues with it, someone text me yesterday that theirs developed a leak on the co2 tube and was asking me if i knew what size o-ring it was. So i know theirs issues with it. I can only speak for the 2 i have. I've put well over 1000 shots through it with no issues.

But it seems like more of the viewers that are depending on us to give them the knowledge and confidence to make these purchases are not having the same luck. I've talked to a few guys that they work perfect but definitely more of the community viewership out there is having issues.

I'm running the 7.5 x 2mm that Jeff recommended. It's a little tight, but works great. I've shot 100 plus rounds and not one problem. Also, the second time I removed the cap, ect, when I put it back together it fit like a glove.

@@TheJerzeyGuy Just found "Metric PTFE White O-rings 13 x 1.5mm Minimum 2 pcs" on oringsandmore for half the price (95 cents) of theoringstore (2.40 USD) btw PTFE seems to be good when you need to keep two surfaces from rubbing together and still seal. Like the bolt and plenum Give it a shot when you feel up to it, I dont think you will be dissapointed.

I called those numbers directly from a factory specifications diagram. Are they correct? Well some are, some aren’t apparently and i do believe this goes back to the tolerances this pistol was manufactured under and why some had problems and some didn’t. Great to get that information out there. I have had my best luck with that HBNR on the piston.

Jeff Mackey has a spec sheet as well and his on that o-ring was also wrong. Not saying you did it on purpose, not blaming you or Jeff because of course you're going by the information you have. This is just letting you guys know not to buy that particular o-ring in those sizes. Its a 13i.d x 1.5cs

Tolerances are the variable for sure. Guessing orings are pretty tight Tolerances but metal machine work in Taiwan may be a little less on target. Right where it matters unfortunately...now I need 2 stickers to cover garage holes from punture/fire incident.

do not run the 7.5x2mm . even if you get them to fit, they will swell up after a while exposed to silicone oil and they will create drag, this drag can make the bolt not fully seat behind the sear when degassing the marker and the next time you hit the pierce cap to air up the marker it will fire without pulling the trigger.

Apparently Glenn has redesigned the Smashers with a larger bore size. Jon just got some (Alternate Arms). He said they are a little bigger, because everyone was having "blow by" issues with the Smashers. Glas that Glenn took the criticism and improved the ammo! Great video, man!

I California you have a duty to laydown and let the criminal beat you. You're not allowed to defend yourself in public because you might hurt someone. If you're in your home, you're not allowed to defend yourself because you might be a danger to the criminal. The only exception is if your rich and/or famous, then your allowed to have your private security defend you. Here in Arizona, you can defend yourself in public and in your home as you see fit as long as you're using appropriate force in the process. I agree that in public you should try to use less lethal if its an option, but in your home, all bets are off and if they're coming in your home, they're going out in cuffs or a body bag.

Man, those laws are insane. I own PCP air guns, black powder, guns, less than lethal and of course regular powder burners. I'm so blessed to live in Texas. Sometimes I forget it until I hear a video like this. Great information and great video. I think less than lethal is perfect to head out into the yard or the garage when you hear some noises, but once they enter the home they've taken it to another level.

@@blackpowderpapa oh the laws here are insane, theres a proposed bill right now by an extremely dumb politician here named Carroll Murphy that if anyone in the state wants to buy a firearm, everyone in the house has to get finger printed, get background checks and if anyone smokes weed, the original applicant can't buy a gun, freakin insane. I'm looking to leave this state in the next 2 years.

Thanks for the mention. Yes there are many realistic options such as PCP airguns and repeating cross bows that fit home defense better than launchers. All options, including firearms, shouldn’t be censored in our discussions. I also agree with you that for the money I will always go with another firearm over an airgun for home defense.

Don't get me wrong ladies and gentleman, if you have a high powered launcher, sending rounds at 70+ Joules, thats good and you probably won't need a lethal option. These are my opinions only. Edit: correction on the Cobra Adder, it uses 7.5" bolts , target bolts & broadhead bolts.

To my knowledge only Grimburg Less Lethal makes launchers, barrels, and projectiles that are already a perfect match from factory. Since they started doing that a few years back my interest in testing new projectiles greatly decreased. Bore matching every round is not a very good use of time. I just order JULs and no worries.

@@ScaredyCatTactical oh absolutely, i agree don't get me wrong. I like to test different rounds in different weight with the different size barrels i have. Not all of my Launchers are set-up with .686 barrels to run jul v2's or v3's. My Tippmann 98 is set-up with a lapco .684 , way to small to run juls but perfect to run Smashers and some riotballs like the 5.5g green seemless, 9.9 g riotballs and red 3.6g riotballs. The Tippmann doesn't have enough power to run the 9.9g riotballs, just using as an example. I'll be testing the smashers on the Tippmann soon to see what it does. But im running the 5.5g green riotballs on that one

When I'm running round ammo in my HDX I've found some brands are very loose in the barrel and others I have to put some pressure to get it down the barrel. This is where I'm not 100% sure how much is too much. How do you know when it's okay that it's a tight fit vs it's too tight and could damage your o-rings?

Great question, if you put a round, either shaped or round ball, if you can blow it through the barrel without busting a lung😂 its good, if you have to huff and puff it through the barrel it's to tight, if you have to ram it down the barrel with a long dowel or long object its definitely to tight.

Do they make a puncture cap pierce system for the FSC? Also, how small is that grip without mods?

@@shatteredlaughproductions i wish but unfortunately there is no puncture cap system for the FSC's. You'd have to make your own as sean from less lethal 4 dummies made. As for the grip I'd have to check
