Don’t buy a cheap 3 d printer! That’s the solution! Why buy a $100 to $200 dollar printer! That’s ridiculous

I gave up getting the printer to pull Creality tpu from my Sunlu dryer. Unfortunately hanging the spool on the hanger on the back hasn't been any better. The only way I can get it to feed is to pull the filament off the spool myself so it has slack. I have to do this for the entire print which is not sitting well with me. I dried the spool for 24 hrs and I'm running the .6 nozzle at 20mm/s and I've raised the temp to 250C which seems to get better printing results. Did you have any trouble getting it to feed properly? I'm really disappointed right now.

Whats the smallest figure scale do you think you could go with fdm, 25mm, 10mm, 6mm??

As a dungeon master I would use the .4 to print henchmen and more generic npcs like shopkeepers but the .2 would be great for villain's and heroes for players.

Just curious. On average,if we were just going to print miniatures with this printer, how many do you think you can get out of a typical spool
@FigureFeedback
@FigureFeedback 19 сағат бұрын
I'd say close to 100 for miniatures similar in size to the ones in this video.

This stuff is great, Was $13 a roll on Amazon and printed way better than the stuff I was paying $23 for. Printed my first print with the mid range recommended temps and then my second print I forgot to change the temps so they were the normal Orca profile really no difference.

As an additional note you didn't mention, in resin, that terrain print would run perhaps 1 hour or 1.25 hours as opposed to 8 hours. I'm guessing each Wonder Woman segment would run about 4.5 hours. If you can squeeze them all onto the same print plate, it would be a 4.5 hour total print. Your two positions at 13:30, "Is the statue inferior (resolution/quality) because it wasn't printed in resin?" and "That looks really good FOR FDM and will look great painted," are not mutually exclusive. You even added the qualifier "for FDM" to the judging criteria. Is the resolution inferior compared to many resin printers on the market? Yes. Will it look great anyway after it is cleaned up, filled, and painted? Yes. Even in your "Resin vs PLA" video from 1 year ago you can tell immediately that the resin Batman bust is unquestionably a higher resolution than this Wonder Woman. Not to say at all that the model is bad or that FDM is worthless, but scrutinizing the models 8" from your face and saying, "trying to find the layer lines on this model is near impossible" rings a bit hollow. When I can clearly see the telltale lines and texture of FDM in the video on this 8" model through my phone screen (1440p, not even 2K) and my experience, just from your own video presentation, is at odds with what you are stating on-screen, it kind of gives off shill vibes, which is really unfortunate. You can advocate and celebrate great advancements in FDM tech without pretending it doesn't have trade-offs or cranking up the disbelief in the scripting to 11. 😕

If you want to "help" the defense, see if you can come up with paper receipts for prior art for each of the patents. I think the standard is "used in commerce". if you have purchased a coated build plate before the application date, or purchased a heated build plate and have the receipt offer that info to Bambu Labs legal team. If you want to punish Stratasys, look at their patent portfolio and try to find prior art to invalidate as many of their patents as you can. I think there is an open source organization that specializes in this sort of thing, but they only do it for other open source groups, so they may not be interested in helping.

Interesting on the min/max layer heights you got. I am looking at the stock 0.6mm FlashForge profile and it is showing 0.25/0.50 min/max...the 0.4mm matched what you showed. Also, for a tip, you should use "scarf seams" for that lego head and coupa shell to help hide the seams a little more. And, for those two you could also benefit a lot from using "variable layer height" in the slicer, which will REALLY want to verify the min/max layer values on.

While everyone was innovating, Stratasys was shoveling money into their lawyers to file patents. Since the USPTO is "first to file", it will be up to the companies to challenge the filed/granted patents to have them thrown out for prior art, obvious, or non-novel. Tens of millions this will cost anyone that wants to stay in the 3D printer space. Stratasys needed to file a lawsuit against a company to make an example, might as well be the one that dipped a toe into their market.

If it prioritize quality/uniformity rather than clocking benchys for faster times AND as other states - bigger volume (350mm cubed?) with some form of multi-material changer - it will definatly catch my upcoming budget planning. ;)

Also interesting that Minnesota based company goes to court in TEXAS against a China based company. Obviously it's intentional and they're hoping for certain judge attitude. Just a pure patent trolling. Stratasys is a mess

On one hand, it's nice to see someone truly taking Bambu Lab to task for at least some part of their long history of outright theft of the IP of competitors, customers, and everyone in between. On the other hand, it's Stratasys and they chose the court most friendly to patent trolls. If they were interested in growing their business, they'd make good and reasonably affordable prosumer-grade printers...instead, they'd rather continue servicing only their core industrial customer base and try to squeeze the rest of the market for whatever cash they can get out of it. Whoever wins here, we all lose.

The only way I can get the camera working with the 5M pro is if I use orca-flashforge. Which has a big delay and I have to click the camera multiple times to get it to load and it cuts out out after a minute. Using orcaslicer is just doesn't connect. Using the camera with flash print works flawless. Flashprint doesn't save my config. I have to change my filament every time I want to slice my print and all of my parameters. As of right now I use orcaslicer and to view the camera I go to Your IP address:8080/?action=stream

If stratus does not sue every single other printer manufacturer on the planet, this is a one off ploy against a very young, very astute company. If I’m clear on the stratasys has been the main reason consumer 3-D printing did not take off at least 10 years earlier. It’s also filed in the eastern District Court of Texas, where all the patent trolls love to file because the judges in that district tend to side with the plaintiff. Did they file it intheir home state? NO. Why don’t they make a ruling that the case has to be filed in the home state of the plaintiff? That way, no one particular district court could start showing favoritism and becoming hub for patent litigation.

The reason why you are getting that is because the link is to their Chinese website, since they are located in China. So, all downloads from Chinese servers are currently marked as insecure do to the current political climate. I guess this is because they may not be allowed to have a US based server for files to be downloaded from. I have talked to some of my Cybersecurity colleagues, and this is the reason that they gave. They also said that as long as you scan the file before unzipping it and make sure there is no malware you should be ok, but if it throws up a red flag delete it. Politics is fun.

I wish I knew why both Flashforge slicers redirect to those sites as well. But even if you try to download Orca Flashforge directly from the Flashforge site, it also redirects to another unsecure site. The Brave browser just instantly closes the page. Oddly enough, the software for FlashDental and other apps on the same page don't redirect.
