man oh man that is super cool and I agree that this will eventually get down to the home consumer level in the next handful of years

Nice. I’d like to see a desktop version of this tech for us “hobbyists”.

Wow!Thx for sharing this new type of resin multi-color printing technology! Let‘s try to figure out how to home build a DIY machine ourselves 😜

I wonder if they could ever make a resin that changes color based on wavelength or duration of light. Use the screen to make different colors in different areas of a print? It would probably be hella expensive if it ever worked at all.

Thanks for the video, I wasn't aware that that service was available.

For what that is the cost seems pretty fair. I wonder what influences pricing. Total mass, height, number of colors, etc.

looking at WJP it seems like it's the same as polyjet, basically you use an uv printer and add a Z axis to it and print layers. the main innovation would be using inexpensive "ABS-like" resin* with CMYK + white, transparent, and soluble resins. (and it should be stronger than pla) * you can get ABS-like resin for around 16 eur a liter in small quantities (5L). the main cost is the printhead, if a manufacturer manages to make an inexpensive (read sub 500 bucks) printhead we could see this becoming very mainstream. though support resin might be a big issue too, as it's not something that's commonly used. also note that it requires a lot of support, basically a projection of the print onto the bed, or even worse, you can need negative overhang support (i.e. you build it like a pyramid)

You should definitely do a video on the upcoming prime day Oct 8-9 for 3d Printing, I'm looking to getting into the hobby and would really like to know what to buy when the sales start.

I'm planning on doing that.
