When to use heat or cold setting?

Cold is usually right after an injury to reduce swelling. Hot to relax stiff muscles.

I think the half price dell micro may only have a i5 when this one has an i9 processor. Which model are you referring to?

It seems like you could "dial in" any of the grinders to achieve similar grind distribution ... the question I have is what happens when you discard all the fines and coarse boulders and are left with a very uniform, say 500 micron, grind ... would a blind taster consider that cup of pour-over especially good? Or would it be "unbalanced?"
@BeatTheBushDIY2 күн бұрын
My thoughts without a blind test is that the grinds needs some amount of distribution to create a little sour and bitter but not too much. So if you use only one grind size, it would taste too monotonic.
@maoxian2 күн бұрын
@@BeatTheBushDIY Yeah, I don't have a great palate so it just tastes like coffee to me no matter what. I should make a cup purely with fines and purely with coarse boulders to see if I can taste any difference...
@BeatTheBushDIYКүн бұрын
Pour over is a bit more forgiving in grind size than espresso. The commandante would have a sweet spot of 2-3 half click, too small an nothing comes out, too coarse and too much liquid comes out. Fine or coarse, there is some adjustability in how long you brew too. Seems like coffee is a huge rabbit hole much like hi fi.

You got the eyepiece magnifications quite wrong. 12 is the middleground, 6 is the highest and 20 is the lowest.

Having tried and love the Tsuru-bishio shoyu so much that I have no interest or bother trying out the kiku as both are priced the same. Definitely get more bang for your buck from buying just Tsuru-bishio instead of kiku! I just stocked and brought 5 bottles of Tsuru-bishio while traveling to Japan! It’s like 20-25 dollars Canadian instead of me paying 75 per bottle at Amazon!

Does it come w a spotlight? If so, is there a way to turn it off? I dont want it going off every 3 mins for a dang cat and blaring into my neighbor's window. I am looking for one where it has night vision with out the spotlight but will distinguish between humans and cats and yet can also view live from my phone like ny ringcam but the spotlight or even alarms are a concern....

Great video! Pro/cons and comparison between Eyeris 3 and the Shift?
@BeatTheBushDIY3 күн бұрын
Major difference is Eyeris 3 has voice control. Shift pulls apart so you can use the eye mask separately.

I just received your recommended YHXMARSCAN stubby adapter. Haven't tried it yet, but despite the Amazon page showing the O-rings in your video, my spare pack of O-rings were all the ones you liked that are in the adapter. Maybe they watched your video and fixed the product :).

There are a lot more spare parts available for the KWS. Bend your slider bar? KWS actually sells replacements. On/off switch, power cord, belt pulleys, and even the motor can be replaced by the owner. And you can buy a blade removal tool and compatible blade to make removing the blade for cleaning easier. So it comes down to fit&finish versus repairability.
@BeatTheBushDIY8 күн бұрын
You have a point. Having some access to spare parts is nice.
@aaronbredon29488 күн бұрын
@BeatTheBushDIY and even with that, these 2 slicers are neck-and-neck. They are the best affordable slicers in their market segment, and any decision between them is personal preference as much as anything else. If someone gets a great deal on a Berkel, Hobart or Globe, those are strictly better, but if you are buying new, these are the 2 slicers that dominate the market. Although, if someone is also in the market for a bone saw, meat grinder, or Convection Oven, KWS also sells those, and dealing with one company rather than several might be preferable. This wider range of products might also mean the company lasts longer (although that is not guaranteed).

This is why I don't buy MSR anymore. I have the S&P tumbler. I decided to remove the sive, and granules still sit in the lid. The granules can also be heard grinding away at the plastic every time I open and close them. They HAD to have known this when testing their own product, but they sold it anyway. I'm finally sick of opening my containers over the pot and looking for a new system.

Depends on how frozen. If it's rock solid, it still can cut it but slower. If you defrost it every so slightly, it makes cutting much faster.
