Was u running 572, or 592? In that uncertain situation i would cut wider, and deeper face cut, to gain that quicker fall down momentum, but yeah - sometimes is easier to say then done! Stay safe, don't put your life in danger, its not worth it...

Yes opening up the face cut might have given me the momentum to clear the crowns. I’m running a 572 in this video. Thanks for tuning in! Stay well ✌️

I am thinking of getting the G372 after the issues you've fixed with it, do you think its worth it?
@Northofsomething8211 күн бұрын
Yes. If you can still get them for a decent price do it. Just be prepared to fix a few things. My fixes have been simple and not that expensive. Also from what I’m hearing, the quality has gotten better over the past couple years. ✌️

Thank you Sir! :) I just bought the Husqvarna 120 Mark II here in Sweden for $229 (Black day or something..) and I am obsessed with being able to tweak stuff from original to perfection. CPU, GPU, Automotive lighting, engines, heat pumps, etc. I will do this muffler-mod, and report back! Also, you have a self-deprecating sense of humour, that is a very important personal trait since we are all entering the dark ages. Keep up the good work! =)

The mod will help with throttle response and overheating. The saw does perform better IMO. Thanks you for the kind words. ✌️

Clone cuts great just may not be reliable until you work out the issues. Even then it would be a project saw and only used at home. Need my second saw to be reliable in case primary gets pinched or fails.

I wrote you awhile back about my Husqvarna 120 I was having issues with it well I'm trying to buy a top rebuild kit for it. I can't find the bore size anywhere. Amazon lists a 38mm,39mm,40.5mm,and I think a 41mm but I don't know which one to get because it doesn't list my sku on any of them but says it fits on a 120 mark 2,but when I looked on the Husqvarna site it lists parts and says fits all except my sku so now im concerned nothing will work lol. Shouldn't a 38,39,or 40.5 work as long as it's for a husky? It's the cylinder piston kit so it comes with the head(I think that's what it's called haha)that bolts to the manifold so as long as it's not like a 50mm shouldn't it be fine? I just want my saw to run it's getting cold and I need wood. Any advice please. Your the only one I figured I may get a response from. Appreciate your help
@Northofsomething82Ай бұрын
Hey Sean. I believe the cylinder size is 40.5. I don’t have any experience with the kit you are referring to. You just have to make sure the bolt holes line up with your crankcase. It’s difficult to suggest something in the comments. Sorry about that. I’d take a deep dive into the reviews on the kit and see what others are saying about it. The aftermarket top ends are relatively cheap, you may just have to take a chance on one with good reviews. Best of luck 🤞
@seanb2451Ай бұрын
@Northofsomething82 thank you. Yeah I've seen 40.5 but also seen 39. A friend of mine that works on dirt bikes said as long as it bolts up to the manifold it should work.. he said as long as I don't go getting like a 45 or 50 then I might run into some issues but if I got like a 39 or 40.5 I should be fine. I'm actually having trouble finding them for sale when I put it on Amazon or Google it cylinder piston kit for a Husqvarna 120 Mark II not a whole lot of options come on the screen so they do but they're random things so I don't know that's why I was asking but thank you I appreciate it
@wayneanderson991Ай бұрын
The G372 is definitely not for the right saw if you are not prepared to trouble shoot issues because there will be some. Once the problems are worked out they are quite reliable. I have been using two 372xp clones almost exclusively for the last two years and have cut about 50 cords of fire wood per saw along with dozens of trees cut down, and limbed. The main issues I have found with my samples are, carburetor, intake boot, impulse line, ignition coil, pull cord and crank seals.

Kupiłem kiedyś nową Husqvarna 560XP i padł mi wał. Więc płacz nad drobnostkami to przesada! Chińczycy dopiero się uczą jakości, podobnie jak kidyś robili to Japończycy. Robią postępy i produkują coraz lepsze elementy, np. gaźniki HLHilc.

In your opinion did that muffler mod help the low end on that 572 .
@Northofsomething82Ай бұрын
It definitely did. It’s a completely different saw from stock. Honestly, when I ran the 572 stock I wasn’t overly digging the performance. Stock muffler was way too restricted. Now it can sustain in the cut. ✌️

I got lucy mine came out the box fired up on the 3rd pull and tuned up without an issue. I think they test run them at the factory mine came straight from China and also could tell it had fuel in it at some point. Paid $235 with free shipping so for that you won't hear me complaining. Does it have the quality of my Husqvarna 272xp, no, but it's 1/4 of the price and I like to tinker. Actually, I end up working on my STIHL 026 more than my Holzfforma. They continue to keep improving on their quality so the later you buy one the better saw you get.

Junk....Threw mine in the scrap pile, electrical problems....then safety kept tripping in the middle of cuts, had to literally rip that out....Then the Carb started having issues, it refused to take a Tune at all....which I've never seen before. These saws "look" nice, but they are made with inferior junk plastic components on the inside. I would never put my life behind this junk. It was fine for an experiment, but you absolutely get what you pay for. Maybe they've gotten better since the one I purchased, but I already have 10 quality name brand chainsaws, so I would never even consider buying one again....there's just No point.
@TheVespap200e2 ай бұрын
If the Holzfforma is always sitting on the bench getting fixed is it really worth the the saving? With all the money you keep throwing at it, in the end you could of just bought an OEM.IMO. Reliability is the name of the game! If you have to carry an extra saw as back up what's the point?
@Northofsomething822 ай бұрын
Basically the point of the video in the end but some people, for what they need the saw for could get away with the cheap clone. Depends on what you are expecting out of it. ✌️

You can buy the Holtzforma and then buy a replacement Husqvarna brand starter and a Husqvarna carburetor and put on there and still have a good quality almost equivalent to Husqvarna saw for far less than you would spend on the Husqvarna.
