I don't know anything about chainsaws, but I have this saw and it sat in my shed for 3 or 4 years (with -40C winters). I took it out recently, and it started first try without even changing the old gas haha. Take that for what you will!
@Northofsomething829 ай бұрын
That’s awesome! She fired up eh! I’ll make a suggestion to you. You should dump that old gas and use the premix type gas you can purchase at the hardware store. Yes it’s more expensive but it has like a 3 year shelf life so leaving it in the saw for long periods like you do, you should have an easier time with running it! Just a suggestion. Thanks for tuning in! ✌️Stay well
@brennanmoran79909 ай бұрын
@@Northofsomething82 I actually picked up some oil to mix new gas yesterday planning to change it, but maybe I'll get some of the pre-mixed stuff and use that before I put it away for any period again. I want to cut a bunch of wood for the firepit for the summer. Thanks!

That’s too bad. Your air filter is clean and spark arrestor is not plugged?

@Northofsomething8211 ай бұрын
@horseshoe182 yes good idea. If you were running rich, check that spark arrestor screen in the muffler too. Should be able to see through it. If it’s plugged it could cause bogging too. Good luck brother! ✌️

After watching this review I decided to buy one of these little saws in the uk. I’ve only used it once for about an hour just cutting up a bit of firewood on my driveway and it was pretty much what I expected from a cheap “diy” saw. And because I didn’t have unrealistic expectations I’m pretty happy with the quality of it when you take the price into consideration. I’ve got a makita dcs5121 that is great and I use it for bigger logs and anything the new little husky isn’t man enough for. But I wanted a little saw that’s lighter and easier to cut up the smaller stuff with, that in reality probably won’t get that much use hence the purchase. Interestingly though mine came with dogs I didn’t need to buy any. I can’t see what all the negative reviews are about with this saw it’s a cheap saw. Maybe people just expect a professional saw for £150 🤷🏻♂️

Hello Carl. I’m glad this review was helpful. Yes, it’s all about having realistic expectations my friend. The saw is perfect for exactly what you are using it for. Take care brother eh! ✌️cheers!

Very nice saw i use it oftenly when clearing overgrown forest parts where the small saw thrives for removing branches and smaller treas but u have to follow the starting procedure then if u put more fuel and the saw is hot just pull choke all the way pump gas 6 times choke back to half and pull let it idle few sec then rev
