My bff growing up had two different sets of ballgowns from this line, and the brown autumn one was one of my favorites, I also loved the pastel layered one! I had completely forgotten about them until I spotted them in another youtuber's doll show video. These fancy dresses were the beeest

Got my first job at Kmart back in the day. Decided to start collecting because I really liked Garden Party on the shelf. Peach Pretty was a Kmart exclusive and kinda holds a special place in my heart because I miss Kmart and again it was my first job. So, yes, I'm old enough to where I bought her off the shelf : ) Still have her and glad I do! Thanks for sharing!

I've loved Steffie's head mold since I was a wee egg back in Christmas 1992. My mom was in college and used layaway (basically, for anyone unfamiliar, you'd put down a deposit on items and the company would take those items and put them in special storage bins for you to make no or low interest payments on, then when you paid it off, you'd get the items) to get me and my older brother a really nice Christmas, and one of my items was the 1991 Fashion Play Hispanic Barbie. I thought, and still think, that she's the prettiest Barbie I've ever owned. I don't have my original doll anymore, but her twin sister and I regularly hang out and she gets dressed up in all my favorite vintage doll fashions that have the curvier vintage Barbie build before they swapped to the belly button mold.

Yay, another flea market one! And, girl, I am LIVING for your commentary :D So, so funny, I could watch a whole video just of this, dolls ofc are nice addition too ;) And the 70s dreamhouse, what a treat to see it lit (lol)! I'm kind of a dumbstruck every time I see it, because in my mind I associate dreamhouses with just pink-everything, just as I remember from what my childhood friends had, and this is so not that, which is kind of refreshing and truly OG dremhouse-core. I'm guessing you'd heard of the Barbie dremhouse coffeetable book that came out some time ago? Such a tasty piece, but the edition was so sparse...

She's so pretty, and I'm sure once you've got that crusty dusty rubber band out, she'll be even better. I've been watching this while I work on touching up a 1993 reproduction brunette ponytail, always feels like we're having a little kiki while we both work. 🥰

That blue jewelry is the same design as the pink set that came with the 1970s Pretty Changes Barbie . Pretty changes also came with the barrettes . there was also a Supersize 18 inch tall Barbie that came with a larger version of the pink jewelry set .

Great review, I love seeing the comparison between Garden Party and Frills and Fantasy. It's interesting to see the subtle differences between the two as well. One thing I did realize is that F&F comes with the same jewelry and barrettes as Pretty Changes Barbie from 1979. I do not know another Barbie that does. Almost 10 years in between the two releases until the molds were used again. Love the channel, I'm a fan, Thank you! -Sooomanytoys81

Do you think you could scan the cardboard extras and post them up so we could print them for ourselves? That would be amazing 😍💖

That's a great idea! I should totally do that with all cardboard accessories. Especially stickers!

I used Removes-zit 20 years ago, on vintage dolls that had ink on their plastics. I don't know if it's still the formula same product because I don't remember it smelling too strong. I do remember that it did a good job of removing ink, sometimes needing a number of applications. The only draw backs I remember was that it was a time sensitive product... the older it got, the less potent it was, becoming inert in just a few months. This made it rather expensive so I waited until I had a whole box full of dolls needing treatment before ordering any. Sometimes though, cost comes secondary when you absolutely need to restore that special doll.
