Draft picks no longer can negotiate their terms since they have a wage scale now. Undrafted FAs don't have lucrative offers for the most part, so they're not much of a concern from a salary cap perspective. Let's be clear, the RBs we have been in this system with McCarthy his whole tenure. So how much would change. But, if you bring someone like Henry in, of course you're going to cater more to the run game. You don't get a BEAST like Henry and don't emphasize the run game. Y'all need to think about the magnitude this player would've brought to this team. He opens up the passing game as well, let's be totally honest here. Play calling would've been totally different in my opinion.

1 Derek Henry 1st choice was Ravens he wasn’t going to cowboys unless Ravens didn’t want him 2 no cap space they couldn’t sign dak to get cap space until dak SA case went away . 3 cowboys would have had to change their run blocking scheme for Henry. 4 ceedee wasn’t going to sign until all receivers got signed 5 McCarthy don’t run the ball enough for Henry 6 you don’t pay a quarterback 60 million to be a running team

Jerry Jones is right and wrong. The Cowboys don't have an efficient offensive line, or proper run scheme. The Ravens have an athletic running QB, which gives them another threat the Cowboys don't have. Henry would have been good in Dallas, but probably not to the level at Baltimore. Honestly, Jones did Henry a favor by ignoring him and allowing to go to the best situation he could have imagined. Jones is lying about the salary cap situation. The Cowboys could have easily signed Henry or any other player they desire, just like all the other teams. I also feel the Cowboys are not as skilled in salary cap structure, so they shy away from doing creative deals. That is an indictment on the management team of the Cowboys. Lastly, I have heard of the salary cap on QB's, which is needed.

We do not run that type of offense because we don't have that type of player. Jerry is senile. You form your offense around your best players. We have not been able to successfully run the football for a while. Wouldn't a great back like Henry improve your passing game? Your blocking? Your scheme? Offense overall. I know Dak would love it.
