Here's the problem with the Cowboys. The front office will not spend money in free agency on top tier talent. The only thing they do is shop off the free agency rack for washed-up players that no one else wants. This team could've got Derrick Henry. That tells you - or should tell you - all you need to know. This WHY they keep going on and on about them. The "PROBLEM" with the Saints game - in the "REGULAR SEASON" is, ok, you lost. Jerry Jones has constructed his teams for the last ten years the same way, all speed, but no size up front on defense. If you don’t have true nose tackles and larger interior linemen in the middle of that defensive front, then it causes good offensive linemen to push the middle of that defensive line up the field, causing significant running lanes to be ran thru before contact, and keeping the chains moving for first downs on offense. Also, Jerry hires head coaches, but doesn’t allow them to pick their own staff, which causes inconsistency, lack of team identity, and lowers disciplined structure.

The NFL is not a sport organization, it is an entertainment organization. They are a tax free non profit entity, It is a lot like pro wrestling. When players sign their contracts some have specific script elements. Referee calls and no calls, players that have to throw a game by under performing all take place. Now with legal sports betting, point shaving and pre-determined outcomes become a routine thing because the money is just there for the taking. The whole spreading the NFL across the globe is all about more market and more money to swindle. I love the sport of football. My wife is a Cowboys fan, and I am a Dolphins fan. Zimmer is an old school defensive coach. And the proof of that was that saints game. Look how many times the saints offense were in the power eye formation. If you know defense, logically you're taught to fill the A and B gaps. This is 2024, so what the OC of the saints did was play on the fact that Zimmer is an old school defensive coach and took everything to the outside. Zimmer never adjusted to it and that was the game in a nutshell. The cowboys are in deep doo doo.

Its crazy we got another DC now and yet the same issues are happening, I think Zimmer needs talent, we need better DT and DE play, Parsons as good as he is at pass rushing needs to be used as a LB full time and not just rushing as a End, part of the run defense issue is mainly we don't have good DE and DT play, the cowboys defense need better players, its not the scheme its the players

So 1st, run the ball at Parsons, he's a great pass rusher, but the run game isn't his strength. The interior D line in soft. They remind me of the Payton Manning Colts Defense, if the Colts had a lead they can pass rush you to death. So punch them in the mouth, run it down their throat ,WEST COAST THEM TO DEATH and score td's , keep the lead and win simple! QB's now are in the gun , put them under center w/ backs, to keep the D honest and play assignment football. $200 Million could have made a better defense. Dallas has alot of work to do!

The defense is reason cowboys won all but one game defense played bad in cowboys lost . But if offense struggles defense still bails them out . Dak and offense can’t match scores and or get into a shootout. Unless defense is getting turnovers or giving them short fields.
