there is a bug in the 6666pro CPS 205 programming software that potentially deletes banks M,N & O if you do not read from the radio first before loading a codeplug - beware!

14.85 x 2 Beautiful. for 14.85V 39k on the inside to the crowbar chip and 12k on the outside to the voltage pot. for 15.7V put 18k inside and 9k on the outside. I would solder your DC power cables on both sides of the tabs on the board for people drawing close to full power.

I used a small SMD variable resistor in place of the fixed 6.8 K. I glued it down in a recessed area behind the board, on top of a transformer. This made it adjustable from 13.1 to 15.8V output. I could've gone higher, but the stock filters are only rated to 16VDC, so it "crowbars" at 15.8V. I still put the fixed value 51K back there. While you apologized about the clarity of your video, your persistence during this "surgery" showed everything quite clearly ---- In a way, even CLEARER than BBi's video showing the mod. Dirrent countries and reasons why 10m Ham 29mhz USA only 20khz FM spacing with tx DEV at Mid-FM 4.0Khz dev 10m UK EU Ham 10khz spacing super narrow dev 2.00khz cb USA EU UK 10khz spacing 2.00khz dev Its main use is for USA FM repeaters that use EX commercial land mobile radios based on 20khz spacing system ,that use 4.0khz,rest of world (poss) use narrower fm systems. Should not be used on cb 4.0khz too wide ,only narrow best as prev comments,filters on cb are very tight bandwidths on super narow fm 8K0 F3E. Hope that answers your question why,just due to history. In Anytone AT-6666PRO, or at least in Raddiodity QT80, CW keyer connects to the mic. Maybe it works only with stright keys ??

Is there a video showing how to trouble shoot a connection to the pc as i am getting a no connection message, i have tried all sorts, it used to work, think windows did an update and since then unable to connect.

I did a reset after the DSP update. It's not clear whether this is needed to reinitiate it or not. The instructions saying "you might need to" is not useful. I figured I would do it as a precaution.

You can improve things a little using the service menu, then 4K is much louder and cleaner and 2K is slightly quieter and also cleaner! But please do this at your own risk because it stays the same, so back up the data on the device beforehand!

Good job - one important thing however, at 10:52 press "NO" - otherwise you can accidentally overwrite the firmware file on your PC (meaning it might not work next time, on another radio, etc). 73

2K is for narrowband (NFM) systems. 4K is for wideband FM systems. Commonly, certified CB uses 2K, and many HAMs and also some HAM repeaters use 4K. 4K will sound a lot louder to receiving stations, but it can be "too much" for some fixed mode NFM receivers, and this might make you sound distorted to people on those radios. 73

I wondered how long the ecoder will last in the Quad 6 Pro's ? I know Alinco used something similar on their DX - 70 Line, and they all became a pain over time ! Word to the wise, it may be best to use the up down buttons on the microphone ?
