Could you make a video explaining how to change thermal paste on MSI gaming laptops?

I see in the website this laptop ddr3l ram. But i check in cpu-z its 4gb ddr4 2166 mhz. What max ram this laptop can handle? 8 or 20? I want buy extra ram but if its can add 16gb i will prefer buy 16 than 4.

Will I be able to recover files from hard drive is my drive is unreadable by computer?

The USB ports suck ass on these units. Have 2 that failed already bc they got yanked or the unit fell.

What happens if the drive doesn't read?? What can I do? I have an enclosure to read sata drives. But I have like 10 hard drives. 2 seem to read. Is there any way to try to access drives that aren't reading?
@andya575514 күн бұрын
I have three hard drives. Only 1 showed up when pluggued in. The others just said open devices and printers to access, but cannot get them to show up on main drive to view files. Any thoughts?

Thank you for the video. I gave my son the exact same 2012 Macbook Pro ~4years ago after installing an SSD and putting x2 4GB DDR3s in there. I ran across your video because I need to go to 16GB to make it run smoothly (I hope). He's running on Catalina so I think it should be fine. qq When you went under the hood it looked pretty clean. Did you get any dust buildup out before filming, and if so, what method do you recommend as to not mess up any hardware? Again, great video. I remember my fingers trying to pry those modules out of the slots while trying to not completely destroy the computer. Your video was informative and to the point so keep up the good content.

I bought the wire instead of the short cable and I don't get a picture displaying on my second screen anyone know why?
@Atzu0110Ай бұрын
Because these don’t work without any Electronics. You need an active converter if you really need it to work. In the Case of the video the Adapter seems to do some minor conversion using the power from the HDMI port. This *can* work, but it comes down to good luck. A passive Cable without any Electronics simply cannot work, because VGA is an analog signal, and HDMI is digital. It’s like trying to put a VHS Tape into a DVD Player. Two different technologies, without any conversion it simply can’t work. "Why do they sell these cables then, if they don’t work", you may ask. Good Question, but disappointing answer: In some very specific and very unconventional situations these things might be required, but the average consumer doesn’t know that. These things are laughably cheap to produce, and the manufacturers simply don’t care, and are intentionally vague with their descriptions, so that people buy these by mistake, and the manufacturer hopes they don’t return it, so they made a profit. I guess this happens often enough that they get some profit out of this deceptive tactic.

when the blue led is not blinking is the drive fried or is there any other problem? Can't read my drive. It worked well untill power outage
@GizmoJoeReviewsTechАй бұрын
Could be the outage fried the enclosure's internals or the SSD is dead. Do you have another SSD you can chuck in it to verify that the enclosure is still working? Good luck.
@AGVersace100Ай бұрын
@GizmoJoeReviewsTech everything works again! Asked an IT guys and he told me to disconnect the enclosure, remove the disk and leave it all on the desk for a few hours and then install it again and try. It worked! I'm stoke

The only fault I have with this keyboard is that the spacebar feels a bit sloppier and more "loose" than the rest of the keys. It's only a slight tactile thing I noticed, and not a big problem. Perhaps it's just my particular keyboard, or wear over time.
@LockheedTutorials3 ай бұрын
it's a solid keyboard that just works. I like it more than the fancy rgb mechanical whatever keyboards. It's not overly noisy and has a good amount of tactile response.

Had this keyboard since I was a kid and it still works perfectly. The only things missing are the volume knob and the folding riser things on the bottom. The volume can still be adjusted without the adjuster wheel thankfully. If I can find another I'm definitely getting another. This one has lasted forever but a backup would be nice to have just incase. I wouldn't be upset if it stopped working at this point. It's pulled its weight and been a reliable keyboard for sure.

Does your msi sword has dust marks on the screen from the keyboard? I always put the sheet that came in the box on the laptop when closing it.
