Man, you’re coming up with some really great ones! Love that Camillus. My wife, BTW, says you’re too late on including that Knife Addiction statement in your videos😆

Sure - the U.S. army air corps flew the P-51 in Europe. Amongst other units in Europe, the famous “Red Tail Devils” flew them.😉 That knife is gorgeous! I’ve never seen one with those scales. BTW, your addiction warning is very appropriate!😆

Nice run down of the Camillus. Good luck with the comprehensive video. There's a lot of conflicting info. I sort of just go with Silvey's info on the WWII pocket knives. The brass restrictions were from late 1942 until late 1944, so for about two years. But it would be safe to assume yours was made around 1943.

Learned something new today...It was a bit of "D'oh" moment. I've seen all sorts of CETME bayonets and passed on them because I thought they had been poorly sharpened. But as you pointed out, the blade has an intentional recurve! That Humphrey with the Curly Birch is a work of art. Like that Hibbens Bowie and the old sheers. Your Camillus knife was a "Trailblazer" Basically a civilian version of the Marine Combat knife. The combat knife had a straight guard. The trailblazer had the s-guard. Some really fantastic knives. Thanks for sharing.
