You're welcome, Dan. The videos will have specific information on collecting the different eras that you won't find anywhere else. You might enjoy my Case history videos, too. I have a playlist that has them in it. 🙏

I like Case knives because they are so many to look at and they have made knives forever. I don't see anyone that could think of having one of every model made,🙂👍

If we could only get a collector to show their collection, that would be awesome.

Loved the vid. I buy carbon steel Case knives in your modern category. It’s a big limiter in terms of handle materials but it makes the hunt a little more exciting

Love your educational videos. You are very wise and knowledgeable and your opinions are well respected. Collecting vintage Case is like the Mickey Mantle of knife collecting, you best have patience and a fat backside!

Some really good looking knives. I truly enjoyed the history lesson and your thoughts on the knives and how to pick up some of the older knives at a better price. 148 listed patterns and then variations, that's nuts. Thanks for sharing and God bless.

In the mind of American Knife Collectors, I think you are spot on with Case being the most collected USA made knife. But I think the sleeper brand for most collected is probably that pesky intruder out of Ibach, Switzerland. Especially, world wide... I think Victorinox has Case beat. The little Case Jack that you were showing around 13 minutes. (when you were talking about polished blades) The Rough Black- was that the original gum-fuddy. Really good info. Excellent suggestion to get a book about collecting Case knives if you're serious about collecting Case knives! Looking forward to the next installment. I did a similar series about two or three years ago. It also took four episodes. My take on it is , like it or not, when it comes to traditional slip joints, Case is the benchmark brand that all others are compared against. There's also a lot of jealousy that is directed towards Case knives from people who feel their personal favorite brand should be the benchmark. And there is also an almost delusional loyalty among form of the Case fans who refuse to admit that Case knives are not perfect. I kind of split knife based on pre-WWI, the Inter-war years, Post WWII - Vietnam- Post Vietnam-2000, 21st century. I think when it comes to Case I go Pre WWII, Pre-dot, Post dot.

@KnifeChatswithTobias yep, you either love them or hate them. Watching all that drama is kinda funny. It is just a knife, right ? 😃😏 thanks for the feedback, brother 🙏

Yep, I've noticed a big uptick in Case Frankenstein knives. But you can still pick up some oldies. I found that model 79 in a pawn shop in NC. I picked up a 6207 XX red bone for $40 in antique shop in Savanah.

My question is: what is your wife going to buy if you pass away first??? 😆😉 Once again, a great tutorial on knives, especially the Case knives. I am just starting to collect them, so I need all of the education I can get! Thanks!
