Too less bedding!!! 😢

Im planning to get a hermann tortoise. I have a question and would appreciate if anyone could answer. Is it essential to make the soil deep for the tortoise to burrow?

We have two baby sulcatas one is fine and the other is weak and hardly eats?

We have got lots of new build housing where i live (a massive field is being built on ) and ive noticed about 5 hedgehogs in our street ,this isnt good because we have lots of small roads that they are crossing 😢at the mo ive got a hoglet in a hog house in my garden , i also have a couple of big ones visit and i saw another baby hog at about 5am this morning ,im so worried they are all going to get run over ,the other day one of the big ones got squished out side my house (i was quite up set about this ) i feel like fencing my garden so they cant get out and just keeping them in my garden 😢

I would put something like a mini fake hamster in it surely not a real one the real hamster wouldn't be happy and its not practical.

Allways do your research before getting a tortoise before I had my sulcatas I research over 3 years so I know what I was doing right ❤

I did RESEARCH BEFORE I got my sulcata.

I don't think it matters whether you use a drop bottle or bowl. But don't use tap water it contains chlorine. chlorine kills bacteria. It will kill good bacteria in the piggies gut and that's a major cause of bloat.

You can skip using the metal support bars and use construction glue to adhere the glass to the wood end caps, then use clear caulking to seal it all up nicely. That way, you don't have bars obstructing the view at all :)

You do such a good job! I found 2 hoglets the other day on a grass verge by a road. They were crying out, and they were super cold. So I put them in a box with a towel and thankfully found a local hedgehog rescue woman just like you!!
