Making your own wires what insulation would you recommend. Also, when the insulation breaks off does it short the inductor machine?
@tompas11A3n52KkX
@tompas11A3n52KkX 2 күн бұрын
I used a special tape wich is shown in the video but the tape wasn't good enough. Then I bought som insulating hose from Temu that works really well. Shorting the coil is not good it can break the inductor also using the inductor without a coil will break it. Ask me how I know that...

Hello there tompas11, and thanks for the great vids. Can you do one to show the inner wiring to your alternator charging indicator? I have this very issue and have been stranded because the battery was not charging several times. I know you said one diode, one center diode, one resistor and red led and that it's hiding behind the headlamp.
@geralddavison6307

Any luck with seeing a diagram for putting it together. .p.s. I think he said zener diode, don’t know what that is but I do recall triumphs used to have them mounted on the bottom yoke in a heat sink.

I’m sorry for a very late answer. The positive feed goes from the small 4/5W bulb in the headlight housing to a diode (1N4001) on to a zener diode (10V 400mW) and on to a resistor (47 ohm) and then to an LED. I have replaced the red 5mm LED with a high intensity green 3mm which shines brighter. I hope that answer your question. Once again sorry for late answer.
