You don't have to go every day from Atins to Lençóis Maranhenses to kite. You can also just kite in Atins, an awesome flat water spot.

@@gethighwithmike Yeah I was gonna say the same, the Lençóis is a spot for it’s own, most kitesurfing of Atins takes place right on the beach of the delta of Atins. How did you miss that Mike? So yeah you get some really good kitesurfing here, you don’t have to hop on an expensive 4x4 to get to the lagoons for average conditions. Also to get to Atins there are cheaper options, if you dig a bit. There is a public boat going twice a day for around 15 dollars, as well as 4x4 pickup trucks. If you want to come back to get to know the real deal one day hit me up, I’m bummed I missed you here. When did you pass through?

Hey Guys, I’m right now in Brazil and I’ve been in Prea, Jeri, Tatajuba, Barra Grande, Macapa, Ilha do Guajiru and … Emboaca. For kiting, Emboaca was really the best so far. Nothing to do else then kiting and the only nice place is Vento Vinte, but the spot is really great. Nice waves at high tide and pretty flat during low tide. We’ve done everything with Taxi so far, what was super pricey. We are going to rent a car (Localiza got best prices) and continue our remaining two months in Brazil with our own car :). Btw. If someone has any recommendations for places to visit, please let me know :)

Mike, you should book a trip do Galinhos, RN in october or later. Winds from 20-30k and amazing dunes scenario with spots for kiting 3h by rented car from NAT (Natal international airport) you may stay hosted at Guamaré or Galinhos and set up some cheap transfer for the kiting spots (they're all close) I've just came back from there. Spetacular place for kiting but it was not super wind since the season in the north coast of RN starts later

A great spot but not unique. If you look for something closer to europe i can suggest Dakhla in Marocco. There is a spot called "white dune" which basically has the same side/offshore winds over a dune, while the travel is much less expensive. There is not much else todo then to kite there though...

If you're gonna stay in Macapa, I suggest 35 Knots Brazil. My friend Boris's place. Very nice! Best time to be in Macapa is indeed August to October. Nov Dec is still windy time though, just not that strong

Atins is on that coastline. Several hours drive North of Cumbuco. It's a very special place, worth going to imo but maybe not on a first Brazil trip as there are many great spots easier to access.

@@davidflusin5705 never been to Brazil, so first time prospect. What could you reccoment, if both tt jumping and surfboard waveriding sessions the same day/ the same spot is appriciatet. Have seen a couple of this coast downwinders, but haven’t found any reef/ sandbank/ point breaks - where both waveriding and kickers could be enjoyed. Any suggestions?

@@SankaFur thanks - not too far away from Cumbuco. What town - of these 3 - would you prefer as “ a central location” if the town should be good for nightlife, eating and sleeping. I don’t mind a little driving for the kiting. Seems like a rental car is a must.

Been there done it. Worth it to kite? Yes 1 time. Compared to other spots in Brasil this one is way to gusty
