#1 rig your kite up before you pack the boat. If you have a small boat it will be very difficult to run your lines on the boat. #2 always rig the kite before pumping up. Same way, walk around the boat, but leave the kite deflated. If it's blowing 40 knots, and you are trying to rig your kite while it's flapping, that kite is going to get into all the rigging and soon you will not have a kite but just pieces of fabric. If you pump up the kite first you will need a helper to hold down the kite while you walk the lines. #3 you can either swim out with the control bar with a helper launching the kite from the boat or you can launch as shown in the example both work. If it's blowing 40 knots, it's often easier to have the kiter swim out because if you drift launch the kite from the boat as shown in the example, it zips downwind and there's zero time to check the lines you get yanked off the boat in a second. Another option in high wind is to have a helper swim out with the kite while you launch from the boart. Easiest is anchor your boat near a sandbar and just do a normal launch. I don't have a yatch. Launch from a jet ski or pontoon boat is more my speed.

Hi Mike, love your videos, but for having tried to launch from a boat, the most critical part is to untangle the lines (when not pre-connected to the kite) and this is not so clear in your video ;-) Would appreciate some tips for that as well! Thanks for the all you do for the sport, as always!
