I absolutely loved how you have stressed on safety. A lot of people push for commercialization and cost cutting. The body is a temple! Thank you!

Wont the heat from the computer components melt off the epoxy in the carbon fiber? I am a newbie and interested in making one myself (but building a full pc case from carbon fiber) but I worry that the heat generated by the components may melt the epoxy. T-T

Nice tutorial and very *down to earth* Obviously when filming a job like this you have to point everything your doing at the camera so we get to see it, having said that, it would make your life a lot easyer if you stabelized the workpiece on the table so you have both hands free to work the materials, ie, sticking wood to the mold ads weight and gives you something to grab hold of also a couple af blocks of (preferably) plastic to rest the workpiece on. just saying 🙂

[ 15:48 ] Instead of cabosil, maybe thinning the topcoat of epoxy with a bit of alcohol would have reduced the viscosity enough to smooth out surface imperfections, and avoid the additional rounds of sanding?

Allways adapting my paddle - an old one from "Schlegel", which is more than 30 years old. Really heavy stuff, but this is the reason why it lasted that time... :)

Every new pump, should be able to reach at least -999.9 mbar. There seem to be a problem with your hose. It is probably a tiny leak.

Is it possible to drill a hole in a carbon fiber flag pole in order to have a screw through it for mounting? Will the carbon hold up?

There are two paddling styles, low angle paddling and high angle paddling. It's mostly preference. High angle paddling gives more power and acceleration, hence why it's used in speed racing competitions. Low angle is usually used for long distance trips, though I also use high angle paddling for all of my paddling, and I am part of Castaways Against Cancer, so I paddle with my fellow Castaways from Miami to Key West once a year (160 miles+ to raise $ for cancer research). All this to say that if someone has a natural high angle paddling style (difficult to do if you have a wide fishing kayak), a shorter paddle works better for that style. Cheers. I learned so much watching your video in terms of how to FIX or REFURBISH my $500 paddle!

I still feel you’re really under selling resin research. It’s ridiculously strong. 2050 is the go-to here. 11,200 psi tensile strength is amazing. My old go-to was an aerospace resin for space shuttles and aircraft’s. Though it has a much higher heat resistance, it and nothing else we’ve tried has the physical cured properties of RR 2050. Best part is it’s very affordable, but that’s just a bonus. You can take a resin puck and chuck it at the ground and it stays intact, most others shatter.

I tried to add a comment but I do not see it anyhow I hooked up all of the components properly I had a major problem with the low pressure port hookup it did not want to go finally I really really muscled it and got it in I tried two other of my hookups and they just went like a breeze but for some reason this one was very difficult anyhow I finally got it so proceeded to pull a vacuum and I turn the pump on it didn't even run for less than 5 minutes and it made a weird noise and died I cannot turn it back on it is dead and I'm very pissed off I live in Florida it's very hot my kids are miserable I'm miserable wanted a cool air conditioning vehicle so now I have to send this POS back and order another brand and then do the process again not happy definitely won't buy anything from this POS company again PS I'm glad you got a 50 hours out of yours that is absolutely amazing I would have been happy to get 1520 out of this cheap little POS good luck to you and your pump

I got a bad pump hand had a problem with the low Port connection to my vehicle I've done a million connections and never have had a problem I had two other hoses that I connected no problems in my vehicle but this one here was definitely a problem I put a lot of muscle into it finally it snapped into place and then proceeded to pull a vacuum the pump ran for less than 5 minutes made a noise and then died will not turn back on I am very mad and ticked off I will definitely not be buying anything from them in the future very very very very very very pissed cuz I live in Florida I waited for this darn thing to get shipped to my house couldn't wait to pull a vacuum clear the system and charge up my Grand caravan and keep my kids and I cool but now I have to send this POS back and order another one wait for it to get here then do the job that the first pump should have done very very dissatisfied with this POS I am glad though that you got good use out of it 5060 hours wow that is phenomenal I would be happy to get 1520 hours out of this POS

less weight... or more muscles. insert a piece of rebar in your paddle for a month or two, then remove it. a 500$ paddle will look a stupid investment.
