A trick to make parge look Professional is using a sponge. Trowel it on domt have to be perfect just get the thickness close. Let it cure a bit and use a wet sponge going in circles with very little pressure to take out any imperfections.

That’s what I do. Not a dripping wet sponge though. Squeeze all the water out. Just a wet sponge.

The pronunciation of potable is a pet peeve of mine. It's pronounced po-table, not pot-able. It's derived from the latin word po which means by mouth. It means drinkable water. It has nothing to do with putting water in a pot.

I assume the tube-form is necessary if you have a sloppy hole, like if you are reusing a hole where you've dug/pulled a previous post. It's interesting that the quikrete guys suggest the same thing in pictures, but nobody (else) actually demonstrates or discusses when or why you would use a tube-form.

Hi. I can't seem to find Parging Mix here in the US. Is Sakrete Surface Bong Mix the same?

Sakrete Surface Bonding Cement is what I used. It worked great. The Grey Bag. Its dries Grey too. The big box stores carry it. Quickrete has a similiar product called Quickwall. @@macpharlan6738

Better off just getting some hot mix , this stuff is garbage
@DeltaH-92 ай бұрын
Why is it garbage? I used it to fill a large sunken spot in my driveway. It's been a year and it looks great. I sealed my driveway after patching it, and you can't even tell there a patch there. If you're going to say something is garbage, explain why you think it's garbage or get lost.

What is the difference between Sakrete in the US vs Canada? The video says to "add water to product". Every how-to video in the US says never add water to product first. it is always "add product to water". This includes a US version of the Sakrete Top n Bond.

Got it! 1. Start with a freshly poured concrete slab with a nice, clean, broom-finish surface as shown. 2. Take an air chisel to the slab to spall the surface. 3. Buy some Sakrete and mix up thick to fill the spalling you just performed. 4. Mix it thinner to cover it all. I'll remember to buy some if I ever decide to do that. For everyone's immediate concern, which product do we use to resurface a garage floor that has been there for a few decades, with cars parking on it, dripping oil and antifreeze over that time, with actual spalling caused by ice freezing, with the obligatory crack, and that we can park cars on again and not have it flake off leaving it worse off?

I used a gas powered earth auger to help dig the holes fir deck footings. Was using an electric drill with a mixing paddle but the drill would get very hot. I made an adapter using a pipe coupler, a nipple and a fitting to allow me to fasten the mixing paddle to the gas auger powerhead!
