@@robmccurdy2126 Hi Rob. I find that while it may facilitate installation, in the long term it proves to be a nuisance or ineffective. Cons include, poor soil aeration underneath leading to foul smell. Weeds and grass germinating on top of it and growing into it. Slippage of materials laid on top of it. I prefer to use very thick construction paper, like ram board. It will initially suppress anything underneath it, except for tree roots, then decompose after its purpose is no longer necessary.
