Just a quick comment. The story is what is happening in front of the camera, not in the camera. If you watch the pros, zooming and panning doesn't happen very often but when it does it happens S-L-O-W-L-Y. Ideally the viewer shouldn't even realise that it is happening. The violent zooming in and out detracts from the story you are telling. You are not alone in this respect by any means, but if you can avoid it your video will look much more professional. Otherwise, a good catch worth recording. The lead SD70 is in dire need of a visit to the shop as that was a knackered ALCO amount of smoke. Sorry if I'm sounding negative, I've no wish to put you off (I've seen far worse) but slow and steady is the game to play.
