@@j_ason_rpg The workings of squad attack were first tested experimentally, then later some players were able to reverse engineer the workings of some parts of the game. Squad Attack with a lone squad leader has a skill modifier of 101% (basically barely stronger than a normal attack). This modifier is multiplied by a multiplier that starts at 1, with each extra squad member increasing this multiplier based on the number of prisoners. At 225+ prisoners each extra squad member adds 0.5 to the multiplier, for a max of an extra 19 * 0.5 = 9.5 added to that base of 1 (so 10.5 total). Overall this results in a skill modifier of 101% * 10.5 = 1060.5% (which is why it deals so much damage). A 10-member squad would max at a 5.5 multiplier for a 555.5% skill modifier.

There's a chance it might since it affects everyone on the field - ally and enemy - unlike Comet Disaster. Once I hard cap my equipment and get an extra 50 mil in stats, I might try out a Land Decimator build since I'll likely have enough power to not need Comet Disaster

@@j_ason_rpg I don't think Land Decimator hits scenery but I haven't used it in the IW for a long time. With max stats I'd still prefer a CD rotation over LD to avoid accuracy issues.

Do you have the Asagi map unlocked at all? It's unlocked via the "Research a Mysterious Netherworld!" bill. If you do have it unlocked then the Carnage version should be available via the Carnage Guide, though it's named slightly differently from the non-Carnage version (non-Carnage is The Phantom Copies -> Double Fake, Carnage version is Double Illusion -> Double Fake).

For most items you'll soft-cap kill bonus before you're done with training bonus, and hence need to finish off training bonus anyway (e.g. by diving for bosses). With something similar to this you shouldn't need to avoid item levels.

I don't feel like I'm on top of things the same way as 5, nor do I feel like I'm able to significantly refine existing ideas. I might make guides at some point anyway though just to make sure they exist outside of pinned discord messages. I do have a vid of me beating 6's Rak Baal, so that's the closest thing for now. If you meant speedrunning 6 or 7 (since this is on a speedrun vid) then any current speedrunning plans I have are also still only for 5. Also don't hold your breath on that either - as people have pointed out, my uploads can be very sporadic.

I wouldn't worry about specifically farming Eclipse Power as it's really slow. Just stick Eclipse Power on anyone who you're going to clear mystery rooms and/or defeat item bosses with, and just consider whatever stats you get as a bonus. I'd suggest you work on a non-weapon item first - units have 3 slots for those and any dupes are useful to any of your units. Carnage Hercules' Armor (stolen from the Item God 2 of a Carnage Aegis Shield) is the fastest to soft-cap (i.e. get to its default caps) when including HP. Carnage Barefoot X (stolen from the Item God 2 of a Carnage Vernier Thruster) is often considered the best item to max due to being tied for highest movement, but would take about 3x as much training bonus (so 3x as many item boss kills) and would also require a 50k single-stat innocent for each non-SPD stat. Item God 2 replaces the next Item God (floor X00 boss) seen after the item reaches level 80+, and if you want to Gency out to save you should do so on the floor before the IG2. Use the Theif's unique evility, buff your HIT, debuff the IG2's SPD (e.g. with adjacent Shroom/Succubus units), and try to steal from behind. For item leveling I'd suggest checking my vids on farming kill bonus with either - Supreme Curry + Murmur of Rage - Comet Disaster I also have a vid covering the various aspects of maxing an item.

Does she have a level 100 Professional on her equipment? Is she wielding a weapon with Freezer on it? Is she successfully entering Revenge Mode? Is she in the Giant Killer Squad (for the stat boost and to make Final Boss Glare work)? If a curry is active what's the main ingredient? Make sure it's not one that's applying a Freezer-like effect for a different element (e.g. Stardust Rod as a main ingredient turning attacks star elemental).

Revenge Mode gives 100% crit rate. You can also get 100% crit rate in general by having an active custom curry with 100 or more ingredients that have a positive crit rate (typically Thimbles) - the 'other' slot holds up to 1000 ingredients.

This is how I'd do Carnage Baal with the least preparation: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iofcemyqaaqrjKs The same could be used to kill normal Baal first. Carnage Baal can be killed with 2 Squad Attackers instead of 3, but it increases the requirements for each attacker. Since you can work on subclasses for multiple units at once with Magichange and use extracts on 5 units at once with Licensed Caregiver the third attacker barely adds any extra time, so is worth it to lower the requirements for each attacker. Or were you looking for the lowest stats even if it makes the other preparation take longer? For example needing to farm common evility slots, farm Professionals, clear the Carnage quest chain and kill Carnage Dark with multiple units, etc. I haven't looked into whether Carnage Baal is possible without extracts beyond determining that farming common evility slots alone isn't enough to make up the difference. For normal Baal if you're not following it up with Carnage Baal the 10m stat method here is roughly the one used in Baal speedruns: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l6nCXnaFZs6Zgs0 Can't go much lower than ~9m stats (before buffs and evilities) because normal Baal heavily punishes you for having lower displayed attacking stats than his defending stats with Carnage Dignity.

- Pass a specific post-game assembly bill. - Land the finishing blow on Carnage Prinny (the one with flaming eyes). - Land the finishing blow on Carnage Dark (at the end of the Carnage quest chain, not to be confused with Carnage Lieze). For the last two the slot goes to the bottom unit in a tower or the initiating unit in a Team Attack.

I don't suggest using LD for IW-clearing, this vid just exists because people are bound to ask about it. If you've got fully maxed out units just use a Comet Disaster rotation instead (I have another vid on this channel about using Comet Disaster). LD vs Asagis doesn't work very well anyway. Even a maxed out Sage struggles to match what she'd get using Capture Skill 3 on MT4 instead (let alone what Metallia and Pram can do against Asagis).

Just wondering if a fully maxed sage would be strong enough to not need all the buffing units to defeat high level enemies. To clarify, by asagi method I was referring to using comet disaster for IW clearing.

@@lakuar2 Oh sorry. I thought you meant the old LD + Megaphone vs Asagis shard farming method (which is kinda bad). Yeah a maxed out Sage should be able to kill stuff without all the buffs, though Multi-Attacker and Afternoon Tea would still help (the main way around the 50% accuracy cap of LD is just casting it as many times as possible).

Real Asagi works too. Generics are just more flexible and easier to raise (since they can be monsters while mastering subclasses in order to be Magichanged onto a humanoid).

This was done on the demo while waiting for the full game, which left a lot of time for grinding. From what I recall I already had all available subclasses mastered (which provides an invisible boost to base stats and hence stat growth in 6) and increased her non-SP base stats as high as they'd go with karma from repeated super reincarnation and certain D Merits. Also she 'only' has 33m INT here, not 300m.

@@HafizHFZ Yes, a lot of grinding. I wouldn't suggest grinding that much at this point if you've got the full game. There's no limit to how many times you can super reincarnate, but there's a cap on base stats (though there are multiple base stat cap increases that can eventually be unlocked, each of which costs karma).

Maxing item stats comes down to the following (TLDR version: repeatedly kill everything in sight in the Item World on 20*, especially item bosses): Item level: By default caps at 500, but this can be increased to 9,999 by repeatedly passing a late post-game item assembly bill. Destroy level spheres, lift level fish, and get item levels from the bonus list. Kill bonus: By default caps at 400, but passing the above bills also gradually increases the cap to 550 (but kill bonus past the first 400 is MUCH slower to gain). Kill enemies on a high enemy strength setting - killing an enemy on 20* is worth 21x as much as killing an enemy on 0*. 400 kill bonus takes 80,000 kills (3,810 on 20*), 550 kill bonus takes 3,080,000 kills (146,667 on 20*) i.e. 38.5x as many. Item base stats: Can't be seen directly but if the game won't let try to pass a bill for a stat then this is maxed for that stat. The starting values for these are why something like a Carnage Hercules' Armor has high stats in everything whereas a Carnage Barefoot X just starts with a load of SPD. Mainly increased by gaining training bonus (by killing Item Generals/Kings/Gods, Proto Darkdeath, mystery rooms, and invaders). Single-stat innocents also apply a flat bonus each time training bonus is gained (dependent on innocent level, so ideally use 50k innocents). Stat bills also give training bonus and a flat bonus to the respective stat, though you usually don't need to worry about stat bills other than for axes (negative stats complicate matters). Rarity: Caps at 100 (epic). Increases with training bonus, this will cap before base stats do even for easy-to-max items, so don't worry about this. A soft-capped (max base stats, 100 rarity, level 500, 400 kill bonus) item has ~400m HP and ~2m non-HP. A hard-capped (max base stats, 100 rarity, level 9999, 550 kill bonus) item has 500m HP and 2.5m non-HP.

@@AzureReborn For something fast to max the updated recommendation is Carnage Hercules' Armor (stolen from the Item God 2 of a Carnage Aegis Shield). It has high overall stats too, but crucially has more starting HP than a Carnage Trapezohedron (the slowest stat to max on it) while having high enough stats elsewhere that the worst still max slightly faster than Carnage Trapezohedron's HP. It also starts with 2 movement instead of 1 (so reaches 5 with bills instead of 4) making it a better item overall, and the perquisite R39 is typically easier to find (Aegis Shield is just generic armour so is relatively common).

Sorry, I have a slight speech impediment. This was also one of my earlier videos where I used a microphone. I try to be very thorough in my explanations. I try to give my thought process and reasoning. I don't just want to explain HOW, but also explain WHY. I want the viewer to understand enough to be able to make substitutions, or to use those ideas in other methods. A common problem with Disgaea guides is that that the author often seems like they don't fully understand what they're teaching, so can't fully explain it. I someone simply wants a build with no explanation then it's listed in the description. This isn't even the best method. The other kill bonus farming videos on this channel show better methods. It would be better to follow the Murmur of Rage or Comet Disaster videos instead. This video only exists because someone was almost certainly going to ask about it if I didn't make a video about it.

There are a LOT of Chara World evilities, so it's definitely nice to have a fixed way to get some of them. It's possible to just keep taking whatever's offered to narrow the pool (and eventually have all of them to spread around as you wish), but that's a seriously daunting prospect.

Funnily enough levels, while potentially grindy, don't tend to be an overnight grind. Not least because the big level grinds are for grinding super reincarnations, which requires you to do a lot of menuing between clears. Item points and HL can absolutely be overnight grinds though, albeit very endgame grinds.

Tbh for normal gameplay she (or at least Land Decimator) is heavily overrated. For killing anything remotely strong people have found better/more reliable options. What LD remains useful for is low preparation/low setup killing of enemies vastly weaker than than you. This tends not to be useful in normal gameplay, but has uses in certain speedrun categories (though not standard any%).

The Curry effect is activated, Christo is in the Foot soldier Squad, I have room for more prisoners. I think its just that I'm not strong enough.

@@Human-hv1qb Based on the discussion in the discord server it seems you were missing the stats and a Blower subweapon.

Mass Blaster doesn't work on Metallia's Overload, Comet Disaster, nor Murmur of Rage. In other words mapwides other than Land Decimator. Works on Squad Attack though. Any non-star element works equally well, Pram just starts with 99% ice resistance. Need an element because Elemental Force is a strong unique evility when you know the enemies have an element they don't resist. ATK ADJ boosts, e.g. Angel Song, apply before DEF/RES. So do skill multipliers (usually good for the attacker, though bad for mapwides as those tend to have multipliers of less than 100%).

@@blueeyesmew but in the toto bunny map with like 50 zombies, mass blaster changes Metallia Overload from about 50% "dmg" to full 100% "dmg" for her overload. Does this mean there is a blockage for LoC or past a certain number of enemies? I'll try for myself later, just in case. Maybe i'm just remembering it wrong. Elemental force reflect elemental resistance on elemental attack. but doesnt that means a+99% damage ? I wonder if there is a way to get the same boost from somewhere else for cheaper I had a suspicion a weapon's element changed the nonelemental skill's element but I didn't know it would do the same for Overloads. I need to pick up D5 again. thanks for the answers!

@@theprinnyranger I'll retest Mass Blaster later, but I'm pretty sure I've tested it repeatedly. Elemental Force is ATK ADJ btw. +99% ATK ADJ (or +75% on Metallia, though it could be +99% with innocents) is a lot for a unique evility. Rage Charge is an easy +200% vs Baal but isn't as easy (nor fast) to build elsewhere. Even comparing to DMG evilities Acceleration Shot doesn't work with non-Squad Attack mapwides, and Assault Attack requires moving further which slows things down. Burner/Blower/Freezer change the element of all non-elemental attacks (including captures). Some curry effects do the same, e.g. Stardust Rod as a main ingredient works like a star version (not to be confused with Sunshine Rod, which as a main ingredient gives +50% star res).

I also lack slot with Pram but I just wait one more turn and the boss dies anyway. This is actually incredible. Why does it work so well? I've been putting it off for years but now I feel like I can grind for Baal...

I've done my best to make this as effective as possible within the limitations I set for myself (being able to use this for your first batch of extracts so no existing extracts, avoiding random Chara World evilities to reduce the randomness in preparing this, and no Carnage Dark unique evility slot since you'd want to do extracts first).

If you're capturing some but not all then check you have room in the prison. It only holds 128 prisoners and you're trying to capture 99. Otherwise hold the button to view details when seeing the targets for Metallia's Overload, and compare to the ATK ADJ and DMG numbers seen in the vid.

some Asagi gain a dodge evility which decrease your accuracy to 50%, and you happen to miss. it work against overload too. I think that's why blueeyesmew uses Christo, for the 100% accuracy buff. Also, Professionnal innocent and evilities might be different. you normally can't kill a carnage 20* asagi with 10m stats, you'd need above 50m for that (without preparation, jusr one character attacking) or a very long chain of attack for 9,9x boost. the trick is in the combination of evilities here. the only thing I would replace is Metallia's Bullying (30% more dmg on lower level) for Mass Blaster (+10% dmg per target) which would increase the damage from a bonus of 30% to a bonus of 1000% as there are 100 enemies on the map.

Prinnies are typically highly unmotivated. You just assign even more Prinnies to those chores and hope they get done.

60m is after using a buff spell, it's 40m before that. The stat drop would be because there are Chimera enemies on the map with Evil Eye. In the vid you can see the non ATK/SPD stats drop from 24m to 22m. Did you remember to equip Hidden Valley (assuming you're doing the first method, not the second)?

High base movement fliers (so more flexible if you want to use them as sacrifices for other maps). Otherwise it doesn't really matter.

You don't specifically need to be in a sword unless either: - You're trying to obtain the next rank of sword up by stealing it from the Item God 2 of the current sword. - You're currently looking for the Catastrophe. Start by going into the highest rank of item you have. This vid briefly covers obtaining a Carnage Mushroom Soup (Carnage R39), but killing normal Baal for the Axel Gear (Carnage R40) would be even better. Turn enemy strength up to 20* as the items you find equipped to enemies, in chests, in bonus lists, and in the Innocent Town shop are tied to the curent baseline level (hidden Carnage level in this case, not the displayed level) of enemies. If your Killia has 17m stats then it sounds like you haven't finished farming extracts yet (even without including stat-boosting evilities you should have 10m stats from leveling up and another 10m from extracts for 20m total). I'd suggest finishing that first as higher stats will help you to steal the items you want, and moreso help in being able to actually level those items. If you're looking for the Catastrophe for completion purposes, a trophy, or just because you like it then fair enough. However I'd say the Mystery Room R40s are the least useful. They don't have the extra movement and jump of the Item God 2 R40s nor the Revenge Booster unique innocent of the Netherworld Research R40s (which are useful even without leveling those items), so they don't offer anything except stats. They're faster to soft-cap but that's not particularly relevant since you don't need to max a weapon to reach 99m stats anyway and non-weapon equipment is more useful to level (units have 3 slots for it and any unit can make use of non-weapon equipment) - you're already spending additional time by leveling a weapon in the first place. Catastrophe in particular is underwhelming because Great Baal Horn exists, which has even better stats AND has extra movement and jump (pretty much rendering Catastrophe and Baal Sword redundant). As a side note, Great Baal Horn doesn't count toward the Carnage R40 requirement for being able to claim a Carnage Catastrophe - you have to own either a Carnage Baal Sword or Carnage Glimmerblade.

@@flaminski Explanation of custom curry: Each slot adds a certain % (rounding UP) of the default stats of the item to the curry. For some reason this includes crit rate so any item with a positive crit rate adds at least 1% crit rate to the curry. Main slot holds 1 item and adds 10% of the default stats of the item. Most items also give an additional benefit as a main ingredient, e.g. Fairy Dust and Elixir give HP and SP regen or Sunshine Rod gives +50% star res. This is the only slot to gain any benefits except stats. The sub slots add 5% and 3% respectively and each hold 1 item. The other adds 1% but can hold up to 1000 items. This is where you typically put your Thimbles. By default the curry lasts 1 'day' (map). If you leave the curry in the NPC it will age 1 day per map while its there. Each day aged will make the curry last an extra map, up to a max duration of 100 maps. Once you have a 100 day curry and eat it you can immediately prepare a new curry and let it age. By the time the first 100 day curry runs out the new curry has aged 100 days. You can keep the chain of 100 day curries going as long as you keep preparing a new one each time you eat the current one.

I salute you for replying to comments in a 5 years old video. also @Flamins Ki try putting both types of monster weapons from market once you have plenty of money, it's pretty nice source of stats early post-game, something like 300 of both monster weps, 300 armors, and the rest maybe something with a lot of health, like healing item. Just buy the cheap one, but not too cheap, you want the stats.
