Get Referrals.
Your best friends in this industry are other singers and musicians.
Musicians LOVE to help other singers and musicians. They always refer you to people they know who needs a singer. The more musicians you meet and sing with, or for, the more they will introduce you to opportunities.
Find out about your local or state’s music market. Checkout your local music scene and get involved. Every town, big or small, has singers and musicians playing somewhere. Coffee Shops, festivals, events, clubs, colleges.
Sit in with other people - that means ask if you can get up on stage with them and sing a song with them.
You can do that pretty often and people will be able to hear your talent. (Bring someone along to video tape it so you can put it on You Tube later)
During their break ask if you can take them to coffee or zoom with them.
Ask them If they have any advice or contacts for you, what they are doing, where they are singing?
***(Always have a parent present if your are under 18).***
Get on their mailing lists, show up at their shows.
Even better: Ask how you can help promote their band on your Facebook
page, IG, TikTok, Twitter and with your friends.
You have a unique voice and your dream audience needs to hear it. You have this dream for a reason. It’s not going to disappear. So honor it. Start now. You’re ready. Let me help guide the way.
