Hi, the sale mentioned in the video is for our North American website which only ships to the US and Canada. Many of our distributors and resellers are having Black Friday type sales, so f you are watching this at the end of November / early December please check with your regional distributors for deals. If you do not have a local distributor check with international shippers like B&H Photo. Thanks www.shimodadesigns.com

I have an Action 50 and it fits my large body (6'4") perfect. I also have an Action 30 and struggled to get a comfortable fit with it. I ordered the booster kit and it made a world of difference! Great piece and thanks!

Have the Kit and it's awesome! 👌

I think this could be a summer vs winter hiking adjustment, too. If you're in a cold weather climate, you'd be thicker due to layers, which could impact your regular fit.

Funny you say that - while editing I remembered I should have mentioned it's ideal for parkas too.

@ShimodaDesigns I just bought a new parka. And dropped 15 lbs (7Kg). So my fit didn't change. LOL.

is there any accessories for the UE20 and top loader maybe? 🙏🏻

How weirdly relevant. I just ordered the kit a couple of hours ago. I'd really like to get my camera clip a tad lower on my chest.

I tried these on my 50L Action X V2, and while it did help bring the straps farther forward, didn’t help with the torso length being still too short. Sadly no one makes packs to actually fit people with longer torsos, instead focusing on that 22in max carry on length. Shame, it’s a cool bag.

How tall are you? -- I do agree with Carry On being a bit toxic for bag design. And now that most products are made Carry On friendly, the current trend is Personal Item size. Which is really tough with camera bags. With that said X50 and X70 are not in carry on that range - although from my expereince can pass.

@ I’m 6’1 (73in), but have a torso length just shy of 23in. The load lifting straps come up to just below my shoulders on the X50. And I have some lovely back issues (2 shot discs and both SI joints). Finding any kind of bags that fit is a challenge, only a few hiking bag companies make them for longer torsos. Love most things about the X50, and no one else is making camera backpacks for longer torsos either, but can’t carry it for more than an hour or two.

I have an Action X50 V1 and use it in the XL config. It seems too short for me anyways as with the shoulder straps securely round by body, the hip belt is fully in my waist. If I loosen the straps so the belt carries the weight, the pack is loose and digs into my lower back. Would the strap boosters help me get the required torso length? Or is there another reason that the bag always digs into my lower back? It’s exactly where my belt and underwear meet and it rubs raw pretty quickly.

I can not say for certain but if you want the bag to sit lower or would like to adjust the torso fit- that is what the boosters kit will do. Everyone has a different shape and physical tolerance, I can not just say it will work or why it might dig into your back. It is very hard to do that over a comment section. But the Kit will give you more options for fit.

Your link to Shimoda design shows the kit for $19.95....very reasonable. Living in Japan I have to buy from your Japan distributor Etusmi...and they want the equivalent of $102.....not at all reasonable..!! What do we get ripped off?

Good that this is available, but too bad that we have to pay for what is in effect a design mistake by Shimoda. I've bought dozens (literally) of backpacks and this is the first one that needed an aftermarket adjustment kit.

I will have to disagree with you as most of our customer do not need these.
