Toad Fan since Pale thanks to 120 mins. I've seen them more times than I can count. Saw them 8 years ago or so and paid for the fan meet/greet and soundcheck. Todd and Glen talked to the crowd and asked for requests. I shouted "All in All" and Todd heard me and said "let's do it". Glen was very reluctant to do it, saying that he cannot hit the notes. Todd looked over and said "tune down" and Glen agreed. He said "you can record it but just for you". I recorded it and they played "All in All" in a soundcheck. I think it was in Ohio. I"ll have to find my video of it. It wasn't perfect but to see them do it again live was spectacular. I wish they would play more of the older era of Toad. I'd love to hear them play Pale tunes and Bread and Circus. Both records are darker and slow, maybe not totally live mojo but I know that die hard fans of Toad would LOVE to hear them reach back that far. We have literally grown up with the band and they are like,,, a warm blanket or the feeling of coming home. Something so comforting about this band. Glen is such an underrated songwriter and lyricist.

I always loved the demo version of "Easier," I think it feels much darker, much more somber than the album version. I think this performance very nearly splits the difference between the two versions.

"Why'd we think that we were different? Everybody knows it's nothing new. So someone might have spent the night beside you. He can't love you like I do." "I still see you in my mind, half a smile and hungry eyes..." This song is so haunting. It stays with me for weeks at a time. Thank you for sharing ❤
