Glen Phillips - Be Careful live from Santa Barbara, CA 1-16-1992

Glen Phillips first known solo show was at the Savoy Theater in Santa Barbara, CA on January 16th, 1992. Phillips played a few covers that evening but most of the set was filled with originals. Some songs would become Toad the Wet Sprocket tracks ("Brother" and "Stupid") but others would remain obscure. "Be Careful" has the distinction of eventually making the cut for two albums: drummer Billy Ward's 1998 release Two Hands Clapping (with vocals provided by Phillips) and Mutual Admiration Society's self-titled 2004 album. "Be Careful" has been played occasionally at Glen Phillips solo shows over the last thirty years. This rendition of "Be Careful" was recorded during the Savoy Theater solo concert in January 1992.
