Only tip here is, 'serve immediately' because, without gluten, the puddings tend to deflate quite quickly whereas puddings made with regular flour hold their shape and consistency for much longer. 👍

@HowToBloke6 күн бұрын
Can you explain the problem in detail. You say that, "on spin only the spin is working" which to me means that all is ok because the machine is spinning the drum when the spin function is selected...
@robertfullwood39126 күн бұрын
@HowToBloke The washing machine was working fine till it started jumping around . which then the door wouldn't open. So had to release door with manual release. After that put in clothes for next wash door locked it filled up but wouldn't wash. So to empty drum I put setting on empty and spin and it spun but wouldn't open door again. So had to repeat as before... Did a check on the motor and bushes are in very good condition. Thanks
@HowToBloke6 күн бұрын
Disclaimer: I'm not offering professional household appliance repair advice here but simply outlining a few things that I would be checking if it were happening to my machine as a DIY homeowner. So, on some machines the door will not open if it detects that there is still water inside. I would check that the filter is clear and that the drain hose is not kinked. If the machine jumps around when loaded it usually means (in my experience) that the drum is trying to spin when the clothes are still too wet. Some machines (my current machine, for example) have a knock sensor which detects an unbalanced load and stops the spin and the clothes come out wet when the program concludes! The door lock mechanism is time sensitive - for example, on my machine until 180 seconds have expired after the wash is finished, the door stays locked. If the door still won't open and the machine is proven to be empty of water, I would suspect a faulty sensor switch or logic board and if that happened to me I would unplug the machine and leave unplugged for an hour or so and then try and run a simple program with the drum EMPTY. On some machines with a digital display it will show an error code, which, when searched upon together with the make and model of the washing machine, should produce some results about how to go about clearing the fault. The owners manual may shed some light on the issue too.

Do you have a recipe for cooking a lot of rice at once, like for 100 people.? I seem to like your draining method but I'm not sure how that would work for a lot of rice
@HowToBloke28 күн бұрын
I have never cooked 100 portions of rice in one go but if I had to, I would still use the same method, do it in big batches and keep it warm, and covered, in an oven and serve with a first-rice-in-first-rice-out rotation. You would need some big commercial kit to achieve this though! Or, you could ask a caterer to cook this many servings because they have portable warm cabinets from which large quantities of food can be served.

If a DEFY 600 front loader spinning and move allover the floor wat can be the problem
@HowToBlokeАй бұрын
Thanks for watching #HowToBloke 👍 Well, if that was happening to my machine I would be 1) if the washing machine is brand-new, checking if the in-transit shipping bolts have been removed (on a front loader, these bolts stabilise the drum whilst it’s being shipped). And, 2) investigating the possibility that one of the suspension springs that holds the drum in position had broken or the washing machine shock absorber(s) is defective in some way. Or, 3) the counterweight (usually made of concrete) has become detached. Or, 4) one of the legs is broken, missing, or maladjusted, or the floor is not level.

Also, the water pump should produce enough water pressure to lift and spin the bottom arm. If it doesn't, there might be a tendency for the arm to hit the salt filler cap occasionally on a older machine. Thanks for watching #HowToBloke 👍

The Renault Scenic has been designed to fill with water when the scuttle drains become blocked. The words French and Engineering should not be used in the same sentence. Not only does the floor panel fill with water, the insulation between the cabin and the engine bulkhead becomes sodden with water and there is no way to dry it out because the upper surface is rubber. Amazingly bad design and once the drains do become blocked and the car filled with water it is basically a write-off, you will never be able to dry it out or be able to sell it !
@HowToBloke2 ай бұрын
:) Thanks for watching #HowToBloke 👍 Agreed that the bulkhead sound insulation is vulnerable to water soakage. But, for concerned folk reading reading this, you may want to search for, "Renault Scenic flapper valve" and make sure it's free-flowing and unblocked from debris which is usually caused by the accumulation of autumnal fallout (leaves).

@@Howie57 Thanks for watching. Depending on the dishwasher design, it could also be the internal pump not producing as much water pressure as it should causing the lower spray arm to spin lower and slower than it should and tap on the salt filler cap as it turns.

I'm not the original author of this (and I can't remember who is!), but it might be useful knowledge for readers of this page _“(company name) offer PEX-lined mixer tails that are described as “burst proof” due to their robust inner core and polyamide braiding, backed by a 20-year warranty. Additionally, (another company name) provides PEX core stainless steel mixer tap hoses that are also marketed as “100% burst proof” and meet high durability standards”_ BUT !!! - Apparently, there are plumbing applications where using a PEX product (cross-linked polyethylene) is *NOT* recommended and, which may even be prohibited locally!? So, you'll have to do your own research on that. n.b. I've just looked at what my plumber has fitted for the cold water supply to the upstairs toilet, and it looks like he used PEX with Type-B fittings.
@macdansav15463 ай бұрын
Thanks for the post. I've had two of these burst without warning and cause flooding; fortunately we were in the house at the time. I'm in the process of replacing them now. The slightest kink or twisting in the flex-tails also increases the likelihood of damage. I'd much prefer fixed copper water pipes.

My understanding is that flexi pipes should be regularly examined and changed out every 5 years. Some say 5-10 years but would rather be safe than sorry.
@HowToBloke3 ай бұрын
Maybe professional plumbers know about this but I didn't realise how relatively fragile they are. Originally, the tails came fitted with the new tap and that tap was..... e.x.p.e.n.s.i.v.e Learnt my lesson - and the damage could have been much worse if I had not been at home to shut-off the water supply quite as promptly. Now, the only mixer tap tails I would consider fitting are PEX-core types which are (apparently) un-burstable. Thanks for watching #HowToBloke 👍
@stevew20373 ай бұрын
Er, if they have been used to connect bath taps are homeowners going to remove panels to check, even then they may be difficult to check
@HowToBloke3 ай бұрын
@@stevew2037 Probably not. Although, if it's a plastic / fibreglass bathtub, getting the side panel off is easy. If the tub is made of steel, the installer *should* have fitted a trap door in the side panel. Although, in my experience getting at / swapping-out fittings through a trap door is _not_ a job for those householders who are faint of heart; better to leave it to a professional.

@@HowToBloke My friends house is on a large estate built approx 15 years ago by Persimmon, maybe 200 town houses plus some blocks of flats. I would suspect that every flexi-pipe installed is of the same quality. Incidentally all the 3 toilets in her house started leaking into the bowl after about 8 years requiring the flush mechanism to be replaced (not just scale at the outlet)

I have jogger for 2 years now 30k km... nov on the servise ve found out that the gearbox is leaking oil.. I tought why there is a smal oil pudle on my parking.. after month will check it again to see where is the problem
@HowToBloke3 ай бұрын
Apparently, the manual Jogger has around 1.8 litres of gearbox oil. How do you know for sure it is gearbox oil and not engine oil? Gearbox oil has a very different smell and consistency to engine oil. Maybe it is a loose gearbox filler or drain plug? A loose engine oil-filter maybe? If the oil puddle on your parking spot evaporates (disappears) after a day or so, it's probably condensate (water) from the air conditioning which is normal (mine sometimes does that). When all said and done, the problem needs looking at without delay by an experienced Renault / Dacia mechanic. If in fact a gearbox oil leak IS confirmed, and the issue cannot be fixed cheaply and quickly then I personally would be looking at the vehicle's guarantee / warranty to see what can be done. Thanks for watching #HowToBloke 👍

There you are, the inevitable result of Rees Mogg style right wing bonfire of red tape and properly enforced design, inspection and testing standards. The cowboy manufacturers and importers and house builders make a fast buck (vast fortune) and leg it. My friend just escaped a similar disaster by just a few days. Is it best to have a seperate isolator valve rather than it being part of the flexi tail?
@HowToBloke3 ай бұрын
Imagine going down the shops for a couple of hours? Even worse, a weekend away! There needs to be some sort of EU cert. for these flexi-pipe things. Even though an in-line valve is very useful, it wouldn't save a sudden burst in your absence. Thankyou for watching #HowToBloke 👍
