Man, the whole time I've been watching your channel, I had no idea you were in K1! I knew you were an ex-fighter, but had no idea the level you reached. I lived in Japan from 1998-2001, and watched a fair bit of K1 during that time. Anyways, I just searched for your fights in K1 and found your fight with the 217 cm Korean fellow. Man, you chopped that guy down like a tree! Fantastic! I have a whole new respect for you and your channel!!

Thank you TOMODACHI! You were in Japan during my best years
@gordchapman346920 сағат бұрын
@@JunkFoodJapan yes indeed! Those were some of my best years too! I lived in Sendai and taught English for a few eikaiwa, and met my wife there too. I'll be visiting Japan in November! Can't wait to eat! 😋

The trip looks like loads of fun! It sounds like you have a fear of falling rather than being scared of heights, I’m the same, if I trust the structure/‘steps’ then I’m fine. You did great with the mountain!

Welcome to my home : ) the Hawaiian plate you ate - the green wrapped stuff is laulau which is pork wrapped with taro leaves, sometimes there is a small chunk of fish. the green stuff in the cup is likely squid luau. : )
@JunkFoodJapan19 сағат бұрын
That is right. The wrapped pork was amazing and it mixes so good with rice. I’m sad we didn’t get to try the Poi though

@@JunkFoodJapan Oh bummer!! I hope you guys tried the “Sweet Lady of Waiahole” dessert!… It is so so good. Warm kulolo (taro dessert) topped with a delicious haupia (creamy coconut) ice cream. 🤤 To die for. Also, to help with your “Waiahole” pronunciation, it’s like “Why-uh-ho-leh” the second “a” is very quickly said, so almost can’t even hear it when pronounced. : )

I'm glad you got to see a bit of Oahu ! There's a lot of hidden gems in food places and spots to check out around that island. I haven't been back to Hawaii in 20+ years, but hopefully that day will come. I'm originally born and raised in Maui. P.S. The Hawaiian version of "Umai" is "Ono." Just pronounce the "O" and "No" the way you would normally pronounce in Japanese. Ryotaro would easily blend in because he actually looks like a local that would surf on the beaches. There are several locals that are K1 and Pride Fighting fans back home. I'll refer them to your channel.
