Yes I just let it sit. I did not use the manual for this project. I figured 12 hours would be long enough.

that is RTV. it is suggested for use on the input shaft and threads.

Do it! Toyota's are great vehicles if maintained properly. But... buy better tires than this guy lol, a tacoma set up correctly for offroad should have went through that no problem, in 2wd haha.

Yes go ahead and help Japan so more. Yes Toyota was made here and they provide some jobs, but they put American companies out of business, most money goes back to Japan. Hey why don't we just get a Chinese car company in here so all you that drive Japanese cars can drive Chinese cars. Tumb nail says 2x2, thats a 4x4 so not doing so well in the mud.

Its up to the used market to determine to real value of a vehicle and a 30 year old one can still run u close to 30k. A jeep would be in a junk yard way before that let alone retain half its value.
