Hey man! Appreciate the video. I see a part number for the seal in your description. Is it a Toyota part number?

Thanks for a great, short and succint video. What's the white paste you put on the threads? Some sort of anti-sieze?
@kelvinb3 жыл бұрын
that is RTV. it is suggested for use on the input shaft and threads.
@brianbowersox3 жыл бұрын
Hmm. To keep fluid from creeping through the threads?

newbie question: what do you mean by set for 12 hours? Is this just letting the truck sit for 12 hours and watching for leaks? Is that standard and in the repair manual? Thanks!
@kelvinb2 жыл бұрын
Yes I just let it sit. I did not use the manual for this project. I figured 12 hours would be long enough.

Sadly, you failed to mention which amount or torque you use.

What do you need? I have the Factory Seevice Manual for my 2002 4x4 Tacoma.

At the 3:45 mark, it mentions the specific torque rating.
