You’re the same idiot who probably said that they would refuse an interest free $1 billion loan for 10 years. Government bonds would pay you almost $50 million per year at 0% risk.

I see the concept but man, I have a 15 year loan at 1.75 %. Refinanced from 30 to 15 in early 2021. My savings account is generating over 5.2 percent. Plus all the investing. I know the feel good aspect of paying your loan off is probably nice, but I’m not sold on spending all the extra on a home loan when it’s making nearly quadruple in savings alone. 🤷🏼‍♂️.

It’s always so funny to me. The people who are millionaires Dave Ramsay‘s way are all millionaires on paper as a net worth which includes your house all your junk, retirement accounts, etc. and then you see those are some of the most miserable people because they can’t do anything, they say they have cash flow, but they’re terrified of cash flow because they look at it as a goose for the long haul and they need enough to retire. People like this guy who owned businesses that have a lot of cash flow or need a lot of cash flow often use their credit to leverage most people use their credit to buy liabilities is the main problem majority of companies use that and the ones that don’t usually small businesses that die out overtime or barely make it as they go month-to-month Anybody big business 150 employees are above have debt and leverage and use it to their advantage and have more money than Dave Ramsey, and all of his people underneath him probably combined

Exactly my solution too, even though I'm not retired. As a contractor with limited time to analyze investments, I've relied on a fiduciary for the past seven years to manage my portfolio. This strategy has helped me navigate market fluctuations effectively and also increased my porfolio by up to 300%. You might consider a similar approach.

Yeah, the stock market can be a great avenue to grow wealth, especially if you choose the right stocks. I think he mentioned something about using a financial advisor. Don’t ask your boss for raise to pay you what your worth and/or staying with the company for X amount of time, instead ask them to not give you a raise, ask for more work(growth plan, whatever that means), do said extra work for X amount of time in hopes that one day(year(s)) they magically give you a mediocre raise and with that raise they’ll add even more work/responsibilities that still doesn’t correlate with your pay. I think this is a stupid way to go about this and you will fall into the trap of always not getting paid what you’re worth/should be while always doing more and more work. Best way in my opinion and have watched a bunch of my friends increase their salaries over the years is to start looking for a new job every 2-4 years, lets say you’re making 50k and after 3 years the new job is offering 70k, go to your boss and tell them that you found a job doing the same thing with the same responsibilities and say you want a raise to that amount and if they say no then kindly put in your notice and go to the next job. Might not be the best way but as they sat before laying people off or “letting you go”, tel them “sorry, it’s just business”. Good friend of mine did this and went from a 40k/yr salary at his first job, to a 105k/yr salary in 5 years by switching jobs to more times. He’ll keep doing the same thing until he hits the max in his industry. In my opinion, doing it the way that they are saying to do it will get you nowhere, yes, it might be the “nice“ way to do it, but we live in a world where we need money and that’s it, corporations don’t pay enough as it is. The last thing we should be doing as employees is asking for more work in hopes that we eventually get paid a little bit more. Our time is worth more than what most corporations are paying depending on your job, but they will never pay it so you have to leave sometimes.

I feel like I'm not the target audience for these channels. They all assume you have a mortgage and don't tell you when or how to save if you are a renter, especially with today's house prices. For example I pay 800 in rent, and 37 years old making 44k a year, no debt. If I wanted to buy a house in my area, with a 20% down payment (which I'm no where near) it'd be roughly 2,300 a month for the mortgage alone. Which I can't afford that. I'm currently able to invest $1,000-1,200 a month and have around 40k in roth ira, taxable, and hysa accounts combined. Right now my plan is to dump everything in investing while renting. Dunno if or when to take out to get a house. Maybe when I have enough for 50% down the interest rates will be better.

He’s already doing business wrong spending based on other people paying later is a horrible way to do business. Payments are always upfront unless you’re not a legit business then people feel like they can take advantage of you. I order catering from a restaurant so I paid upfront my mom got catering from a coworker and last minute we were about to cancel that would’ve been horrible for the service provider because she didn’t even ask for the money for the food it’s a huge risk.
