They like beef jerky sticks too. Glue it and you can also add a tie of like wire or string to help it be secured.

I use half a peanut or chocolate chip glued with some Elmer’s glue or super glue. Also use the wire bread ties to tie on bacon.

Very nice! I've had good luck with dried cranberries impaled on the spike of rat traps, (pack rats here in AZ) but never considered using a glue gun on a mouse traps. You've opened up a whole range of possibilities....

You forgot to mention!! Never touch a trap with your bare hands. Always wear gloves as the rodents will smell your pheromones.

I know this video is old, hopefully you are still responding. I'm going to try your tootsie roll trick. My question is this. I can't stand the idea of mouse blood splattering everywhere. I usually put the trap inside a little box with the opening flat to the floor. That way I can just dispose of the whole box. Will this method work as well as no box?

I've been using mini marshmallows formed around the bait trigger with a drop of chocolate syrup to add some scent. Works pretty good and usually don't have to rebait just touch up with the syrup.

Chicken fat! You pull it through the bait hole. Small piece so they literally need to crawl on the trap to get to it. As the chicken fat hits room temp, they can smell it from across the room! they come up and tug at it and they are D E A D! works every time. I hadda speedy gonzales that would empty my traps and would never get caught. The chicken fat got him! 💀☠

Great video, but unfortunately it appears that the manufacturer has gone out of business. They were investigated for their "Made in USA" claims and cleared, but at some point they seem to have shut down.

Ok... While you did not season the hamburger, I still understand what it was you were trying to accomplish...I *might* try this but would probly season burger/ chop onions & mushrooms smaller / take out burger add flour and make gravy / put burger back in for a few minutes. With all of that said😂... I learned something I didn't know and I think I can make it work for me... Soooo thank you❤

I use a bit of cheese and some crunchy peanut butter, make a small ball and shove it under the top lip. Works like a charm. I try not to get any peanut butter on the triggering mechanism. It would make it slippery.

I ve been stalling too long . I m afraid i’m going to find a mouse in agony and not dead. It really bothers me hurting animals. Are we sure there is nothing else that works better? Do they always kill the mouse?

Break up the pretzel and glue a smaller piece on. It will be less likely to shatter and need replacing after each hit.

This is great information! I'm going to switch over to a taffy type bait (like a tootsie roll), ASAP! On another note: one thing I tried the last few months, is hot gluing my traps to a piece of 10" x 10" x 1" styrofoam. Even a piece of cardboard would work... I've lost more traps than I care to remember, (behind the freezer, or between boxes, and other hard-to-get-to places). Since doing this, the traps stay put, and it gives off a pretty loud noise, so you know when it's gone off! I hope this helps.

Do mice also like dry dog food? I have mice and considering gluing dog food to it. Also have some pellet dry fish food that might work.
