I know what you are going through. My husband of 38 years (married 35) cheated on me with a younger woman. I was heartbroken and my world just fell apart. That all happened between 2022 and 2023 and eventually I told him to go because I could not put up with his behavior anymore. I am struggling to get over this and still cannot see a light at the end of the tunnel.

The mom dying kicked this crisis/divorce/separation off. Curious why you aren’t/didn’t talk about this? My wife almost same exact story even a trip to Disney. All started with her mom dying of breast cancer. Just like this story she told her dad, the courts and anyone who would listen that I was a fire breathing Dragon. Great advice to keep showing up because they eventually figure it out. When the courts gave me custody of our three kids that changed some minds. Mine left with our children and her high school boyfriend shoe box only. She was also suffering from depression and anxiety which runs on her mother’s side. Her mother was a hoarder/ depressed. She ended up in the emergency room and now has a psychiatrist. She’s in her early 40’s so I’m sure her hormones aren’t helping.

LOL! Dating horse face just the same way he dated her 27 yrs ago…. Yeah I know that creepy feeling! It’s strange. My ex is reliving me through his current gf. He also told me he doesn’t want to divorce me because I’m crazy, I cause him so much anxiety and anger, and he doesn’t care if we’re married forever as long as we’re living in different places, he’s good…. His horse face is completely ok with their relationship too…. He remains married to me and she is just a horse face. Make that make sense to me. His mind is irrational. He needs help. He hurt me enough, so I’m out.

I agree that she should find out more. Being the 'cool girl' is going to hurt her in the end because her husband will think none of it is a big deal since clearly his wife doesn't think it's a big deal. Plus, she will be wondering what is going on even if she's pretending she doesn't want to know.

I love your message about stepping past fear and talking to your spouse even if you think they'll take it negatively. Society ingrains in women the idea that we have to be 'cool girls', not real people with feelings. If a guy wants to do something, we have to be cool with it even if we find it disrespectful and then we end up afraid to voice our true feelings. No more of that. If she tells him she wants him to come home and he thinks she's manipulating him and he refuses to come home - then she'll have her answer. But if he does come home, maybe they have something they can work on. Either way, it's better than living in limbo. Also agree that there's no point in staying in a relationship with a compulsive cheater or a narcissist because they will never change.

I respect him for coming on and telling his story but it was difficult to listen to him talking about how he's effectively stringing his wife along. On one hand he feels shame and is afraid to ask for a second chance (which is very real and I feel for him) but on the other hand, he doesn't know if he wants to try and that maybe they should just have a platonic relationship. If he's in this state of limbo, then he needs to let his wife go. It is unfair to her if she's thinking that he might come back to her given that he hasn't filed for divorce but he's still in contact with affair partner and doesn't even know if he wants to stay with wife beyond the comfort and convenience aspect. I really hope he seeks the counsel that he's looking for and he let's her off the hook one way or another because keeping her in limbo is cruel.

@John-78 2 ай бұрын
@@TheWifeExpert There is absolutely no reason to ever need to lock up a woman who is over a certain age, who gave her best years to other men. She isn't marriage material and you shouldn't take the risk as a man. A young attractive woman, perhaps, is worth the risk.
@John-78
@John-78 2 ай бұрын
@@TheWifeExpert And I am not saying young women don't also end marriages at an alarming rate. Women are going to leave in large numbers as long as the financial incentive to do so exists and as long as society(other women) keep encouraging them to do so. The risk will always be there but at least with a young attractive woman the man is also gaining a reward. Men need to start being smarter. She doesn't need a ring if she is over a certain age. Stop bailing women out and they will start making better decisions when they are young instead of giving themselves to the streets and accumulating baggage and trauma, which the new man will certainly have to put up with. You don't pay full price for an aging used car.

Disagree 100%. When you get married, unless you are perfect, there is no such thing as "chances." Marriage CAN end when there is Affairs, Abuse or Addiction. And then it's up to each spouse to decided. If someone is a mess in their own soul - that has 0 to do with you. 0. TheWifeExpert.com. ❤️❤️

@@TheWifeExpert our children are losing but because of the modern woke woman. They want nothing to do with being a good woman or wife to their husband. There’s no use in marrying a woman that will do nothing for you. Nothing except for cheat and divorce you. THAT, is why men are saying marriage is not for the future generations. Modern women don’t want a partner or to “grow together” they want an in on an ongoing thing. It’s said, but we only have feminism to blame for that. The young men aren’t losing out on anything. Society and young women are, a young man will always find an easy slit to crawl into. A young woman will seldom find a man worth marrying, if she’s not worth marrying first.

For all the women who are complaining about their RUNAWAY HUSBANDS: I get triggered when adult children just throw away their mothers or their own flesh and blood family members claiming they are toxic...but these same women will stay and fight for a toxic, no good, lying and cheating man. This conversation is about loyalty and integrity and how can someone not care about how they hurt others. This is my exact same question I pose to women who can hurt their mothers and family members and not give a damn. I know so many mothers who cry everyday because their daughters won't have anything to do with them because they feel they find something better in a MAN. If it's one thing that upsets me and rattles my chain is someone who lacks LOYALTY and INTERGRITY to their own flesh and blood (real family members). Men walk off and leave women pregnant or leave her struggling to raise kids alone, but isn't that the same thing women do when they turn their backs on their mothers because they feel a man is the be all that ends all or when they feel they don't need her anymore? I understand where this lady is coming from...she wants to know how can anyone call themselves a decent human being and have no problem HURTING others. I have the same question....Especially, how can you do it to your MOTHER who is the reason you are even BREATHING...How can you do it? I guess the same way men can walk off leaving women pregnant and struggling. I think this is called REAPING what you have SOWN.
