This is my first introduction to your channel, and this video is just goddamn *chefs kiss*. Great comedic timing, very informative, and straight to the point. Thanks for giving me some good noise and food for thought for an hour and thirty minutes (didn’t even feel that long, had to stop working on my stuff for a couple moments just to appreciate your writing). Amazing job!

Lost me in the intro. The primary reason it failed was poor PR handling of the team who incited vendettas against them and only made matters worse by being dramatic divas instead of using a modicum of common sense. I could tell you a million problems with the mod itself but that's irrelevant, there are worse mods in terms of writing and playability that receive high praise from players because no one expects a good game from a Fallout mod. The criticism of the Frontier being so harsh is a direct result of the Frontier's modders advertising, insisting and causing drama in regards to their mod being superior to the extent that they'd censor criticism and gas light their fans. No one needs a video talking about why the mod is bad, everyone who played it knows. That's almost completely irrelevant to why it failed though. Some aspects that get lampooned in the mod aren't even bad in general, the modders brought it on themselves and while some can be pitied for literally not knowing what they got themselves into the vast majority were clout chasing vipers who stabbed each other in the back almost as much as they stabbed their fans. If the project had strong direction from a competent lead and wasn't a group of terrible people taking over someone else's passion project none of this would have happened.

Hi, I'm a trans, queer, pagan, lib-left leaning person that likes Liberty Prime, Power Armor, and the Brotherhood. Do I like them for their morals? FUCK NO It just looks cool asf, I personally like the NCR and Railroad morally, but RP can be fun

“Hmm maybe I’ll watch another rambleline video and just hope it wont feel like hes immediately diving into politics and making that the focal points of the video or just making his politics extremely clear.” 3 minutes in and boy that sure didn’t last long. Believe it or not but a random english speaking modder probably didn’t know a lot of chinese people to do voice acting for them and I absofuckinglutely guarantee if they were doing goofy mocking french accents you wouldn’t make it about “muh racism”

The storyline you propose here did eventually get done -- in fallout 76, as the steel dawn and steel reign expansions.

this mod highlights the importance of having a person or at least group in the postition of overall control with a concise consistant creative vision. it should be a united effort where everyone knows what they are doing and there is great communication between writers

Discovered your channel and have been going through your videos this past week and man you are a very talented creator. Great writing, incredibly interesting analysis, and a really good balance of humor. And you talking about the growth as a creative and trying to improve upon every previous video is really apparent (they’ve all been absolute bangers still!). I dunno, as someone trying to find their creative footing in life right now it’s very inspiring to see your videos as a visualization of your creative journey. All the best for you

Everything you say about Littlepip can be easily applied to every Fallout protagonist. How can a tribal destroy an entire group of people with advanded power armor and a giant cybernetically enhanced supermutant who killed Deathclaws with bare hands. How could a guy from a Vault who lived there all of his life defeat a whole army of supermutants and survive a place where the majority of Brotherhood ot Steel paladins simply died from radiation. How can some Courier change the whole history of Mojave and etc.

I like making my playthroughs realistic by not reloading saves when a companion dies. It makes your in game friends/followers worth fighting for and makes it really hurt when you survive a battle and they don’t and you just have to move on without them

I just made the horrifying connection that this Vault Dweller is Colonel Autumn. A nameless soldier in the defense of Project Purity? I doubt it. It... has my thinking cap on. It's the only way he survived the first activation of Project Purity.

I gotta admit, the whole "I was the closest living person, relative to him - I found his body, so I have to pay" just makes me think no one would've reported him dead. And I think that would've been a more interesting setup. You show up and as you get closer to the body, you start complaining about the smell but no one who works there seems to care. "Oh, it's just the cannery. You get used to it." Then you find the body. It's rotting, it smells horrific, people are gagging but pretending not to notice. You ask some people, "What're you talking about? I don't see anything." Then you go to the boss. He's shocked. "What? Let me see." Of course he never goes down there, otherwise. He sees the body, turns to you, gagging, "I don't see anything." Realizing what "discovering" the body would mean. Now we get some choicing and consequencing: YOU can "discover" the body and give this person a proper burial but then YOU'RE on the hook for the cost. And by that point in the game, you don't have much money so you either have to make the money or leave the body there like everyone else. I know it would probably impact the story a bit more than it does now (probably turning you more against the corporation than you already were) but it would also make you a part of the system and it's flaws and exploitation.

To me it always seems like fallout 3. What's supposed to be a remake of the first 2 games? Because It retreds so much of that story And even in the small things like the shift fram Super mutants to the onclave

It would be great if after completing Russell's colonizer quest, you automatically are rewarded with the sneering imperialist perk, but until you complete it, the honest hearts dlc would be delayed. then and only then, once completing it, a script would allow you to start the dlc and, without even changing anything in the dlc, you'd poignantly face the regrets of your past in Russell's quest with Joshua Graham, letting either him teaching you the errs of your ways or you convincing him the wrath of yours.

I had only seen the NCR playthrough before watching this and it's painfully obvious upon seeing all three main questlines that a lot of the people working on the project were just doing their own thing. There's so many things you can broadly criticize (like generally bad writing), but the specifics of what is poorly written varies so much from faction to faction it's honestly impressive.
