Lithgow never made a "Tommy gun". They did make a number of automatics but the Tommy Gun was made in USA. While the mission of The Small Arms Factory in Lithgow was to make military firearms, after the Second World War they made civilian arms and also modified some former military arms for civilian use. They also made other items for other companies including cooking utensils and "mix-masters". I have and use a number of modern Lithgow's, including a LA101 in .22lr which I use in local competitions. I regularly come home with a medal and mostly gold. If I do my part, I have been known to outscore the fancy target rifles. The pedigree of the Lithgow certainly stands out.

My Father gave me my first in 1974. We had two. A very fine rifle. If you couldn't get a head shot at 80 to a 100 yards, it was you, not the rifle.

Found a Bluette stove with C206 canisters. Boiled the jet in soapy water and now it works. Ordered 3 c206 canisters from Amazon for £11, not too bad. Will use instead of my stick stove which puts horrible black soot on pans.

Hi thanks for sharing, I'm new to camping stuff. Do we get this type of butane canister from Bunnings? I checked it costs around $10 each. If I cook simple meal once a day, can one can last a week please?

Excellent. The only vid I could find anywhere. I have spare cannisters but not a stove burner to fit them so needed to know what type of stove I needed. 🙂

By the way what is that thin rectangular cut out on the top of the stove where the cup rests or should I say meets or gets stuck in ?
@hardtrooth1776 Жыл бұрын
Nice video make more ... I think the aluminum cup is better for a stove than those stainless ones but you could add two metal rods folded to hook across from front to back spaced apart to rest your cup on so it doesn't get stuck in stove and allow flame to breath out the top and heat the side's of cup a little flames tend to follow the up 👆 least path of resistance. Just a tip .. and I see you created your own heavy cover like the canteen shop used to sell that I can't seem to find one anywhere it looks cool in copper. Thank you for this video and the noodles looked great man made me hungry 😂

Very nice! The later production Model 1B rifles mostly seem to have a blank black disc in the stock instead of the nicely decorated one.

This was my very first rifle. In 1985 I was 14 years old and my school headmaster had one of these in his garage. I asked him if he still wanted it and he gave it to me. How times have changed! Not for the better. I was proud of this old gun and there was no question that I might cause harm with it and I never did. I shot countless rabbits for the pot and a couple of foxes. Thanks for this beut bit of nostalgia.
