The main reason why, SH2 remake stutters. because it's loading new zones for the game map. So one chunk unloads, and the new one does for the area your In . which indicated at the end.

That theory of james finding himself in a time loop is something i noticed while playing and looking at those bodies he'd find and on my second playthough it clicked with the letter where you get the golden knob that says "You must think i'm cruel, But this prison is of your own making. The choice was yours, I watched you make it, over and over and over again. This time's not gonna be any different. And I'll be here. Watching." plus those bodies you find laying on the ground look exactly like james down to the clothes and all.

Even if the manequin comes from UE4, that doesn't mean the game was ported to UE5 late in development, actually the game makes very heavy use of lumen, to the point where you can't run the game without raytracing What this tells us is that the remake started out on UE4, but was definitely built around UE5's technologies in mind

I believe this is not paint but in fact, its the surface decal for blood you see on the cloth covering him that "bleeds" underneath the face model and creates that effect :) (it is possible to have this effect if the model is setup to receive textures on their surfaces. Finding assets stored in a place out of the player’s reach is not a discovery. THATS HOW GAMING WORKS! Assets are preloaded to bring them to the player when needed. Be it for a cutscene or one of many instances that an enemy appears to “scare you” only do disappear into the void with 0 trace. Well. Obviously some low IQ’s such as the uploader will call the game trash duo to false marketing. But luckily such trash people are unable to file a lawsuit for false marketing and the channel isn’t close to relevant enough for Konami to issue a response calling out the misinformation.

I can't remember where exactly, maybe in that part of the game where you roam with Maria around the town when getting to her special place/before the hospital there's a toy of a clapping monkey out of a building. I was mesmerized by it and couldn't remember the reference but it was WILD. Anyone has any clue? It resembled the monkey toy from Toy Story 3.

Imagine the day games and engines have the capacity and ability to keep everything operating in real time after cutscenes. Like you can catch up to the lying figure and attack it. I get why it would despawn as the devs want the player driven to the first encounter spot but other cutscenes could be different. Would be very interesting

I saw a calendar in the game. I can't seem to remember exactly where it was, but I feel like it was at the beginning of the hospital (maybe in the reception room or in the basement?). This theory that James would be in a loop doesn't make sense, because it gives the game a sci-fi vibe. The game was inspired by the psychology of Freud and Carl Jung works. The bodies are a message from James's subconscious telling him what is explicit in Neely's bar: 'If you Really want to see Mary, you should just DiE. But You might be heading to A different place than MARY, James.'

2 melee weapons, 3 guns, the same 5 or 6 enemies from beginning to end. Dreary, awkward combat and animations. It's like the game kept demo mechanics that needed 6 more months of further intensive creation and development. Deserves a global review of 5 or 5.5 out of 10

There is no time loop. The bodies are James and were in the original as well. James wants to be punished for what he did, it's the entire reason Pyramid Head even exists. He's seeing himself dead and punished for killing Mary.

pay attention to the cutscenes in the og silent hill 2. then go and listen to the ones in the remake. They even are worded that james has done this so many times. Even before fighting the final boss, you can see the exact moment james realization triggers the switch in his head and flips him back to denial. The guy just repeats everything but this time it sames that even the others trapped along with him and in his own world, want it to end and to finally come to a closure.

The corpse theory has been 100% true since 2001. If Bloober didn't do this they knew fans would be pissed.

11:35 I have a theory that this version of james killed himself after seeing the tape of mary, realising what he has done, unable to cope with his guilt he shot himself. Then someone else came into that room and cover the corpse with the blanket and take the gun from the corpse.
