Hi Great pod thank you. In relation to the LED lighting on your back window. We used 3M double sided tape on our ocean going sail boat. Its been there some 7+ years. Its never moved despite a boats constant moving. Worked for us and it was cheap. Salt etc doesn't effect it either.
@AlwaysTouring11 күн бұрын
Yeah, 3M stuff is pretty good. We haven’t had much luck with that stuff on the canopy though because of the heat

Excellent Vid of the what can happen and happened to your vehicle. Thanks for showing. Most of it is because of modifications, circumstantial and then user error on other issues, even military vehicles that are set up for war crap out for no reason just travelling around Australia, everything wants you to kill you in OZ, hahaha. Myself, I constantly monitor battery voltage and levels and have a good look around the vehicle on every stop to see if anything is loose/breaking/missing/tyres/fuel/stuff in the car/monitor fridge-freezer. Yep haters are going to hate but as others have said, Maddy doesn't need to shout (yes Maddy is exaggerating her narration, probably enthusiasm....) as it is why you are using mic to record your voice to keep ambient sound down. Top tip have a look at what your level meters are doing on you camera (appears you are using a lavaliere mic) and keep the volume below zero DB to a max of 3 DB on the peak meters depending on how close the mic is. Yep distracting from the otherwise great content.Critique not critism team. Cheers Gaz

Highly recommend the jackaroo slave cylinder conversion, my clutch blew on stockton beach also and the slave cylinder is the culprit as it causes the clutch to stay engaged longer than it should and it burns it out

Just seems like the average aussies travelling around issues. To be fair take age of the car ect as well. Id suggest pulling out the 12 volt and carring out a refit. Upgrade the alternator. That way to ensure good powers and earths. Fit a couple of bracket to attach the canopy latch lid to attach a new light. Ps maddy came through very very loud. Good video guys

I nearly bought a kings console fridge what a great idea , a guy at work has one recons its great but yer the lid is shit comes off all the time and pissin him off 😢 and then the expensive Chinese made bullbars and things are crap your only paying for a big brand name thats loosing cred fast , atchly theres 2 brands to avoid , i drive around in Isuzu trucks and utes for work they always have issues I'll never take one out bush and rely on it no way guys , and them utes have a flaw in the rear brakes 😮 yep

Foil sauce is the worst recommendation tbh. The least waist the better whilst on the road. Just get smaller bottles as the big ones tend to pop and also allocate a better spot if your having issues with leaking sauce

@AlwaysTouringАй бұрын
Ended up getting the whole thing replaced as the shock it’s self went soft too
@Dan-rg7jjАй бұрын
@AlwaysTouring it looks the same as colorado rg but might be slightly different being earlier. I got the pads and bush kit which is superpro. What i didn't realise was the stock pad is about 5mm and the superpro one is about 20mm! $170 for the kit both sides. It raised the front up a bit which is good because it only has rear raised springs. Looks better. The part number is rs012 for reference. Looks like it could never fail.

DMAX/MUX/BT50 and others all have the 'BUMP STEER' issue. Cost us just on 5K to get it sorted out with MUNJI and other suspension mods. Both front inside wear. Money well spent when ya wearing out two front tyres every 15K/KM

I know in the earlier Isuzu models that they had the bump stop issue too where they wear quickly down on the inside (about 5-10k) for a set to last. It will also mean the alignment as per what @kevanharding9716 said.
@AlwaysTouringАй бұрын
Ahhh fair enough , it did turn out to be a run out shock

Yep; reads like another pair who got sucked into the billion dollar 4x4 mod scams . Great to see some honestly . Water; especially emergency water: I have found the month wash bottles can be cleaned out to no taste or smell (Aldi's are easiest) to make great no-leak strong water containers, that being small can be packed away throughout the vehicle - wish I could have bought them new. Yes I would still have a 10 ltr (max) plastic container or 2 5lt bottles . think all eggs in one basket ;) . Best I have seen are a number of PVC pipes standing on the end with easy to turn off/one connecting taps Saw: a good hand saw is cheap and lighter, + an axe and hatchet A Bedourie camp oven is far more practical, lighter and unbreakable Food is so over thought --- TV 4x4 adventures food is just so unpractical . Think practical, like what we had way way back in the 70-80-90 Best item to leave behind are females 😇 😂
@dperk1757Ай бұрын
Nice video.. One interesting thing with social media is that it’s very rare to see a subjective approach to gear advice, so good on you for recognising that not everyone will need the same gear. On any given night you can camp just about anywhere in Australia with other groups and see different people using different equipment some of which they don’t need, but that’s all part of the adventure!
@AlwaysTouringАй бұрын
Totally agree! It's all about what works for you 😊
@kevanharding9716Ай бұрын
Awesome vid , we were there about 10 months ago so I feel your excitement. The tyre wear is related to wheel alignment …the type of wear is usually camber adjustment incorrect , too much negative camber, but there is also some scalloping the hi low wear on the lugs which also indicates incorrect alignment excessive toe out.
@AlwaysTouringАй бұрын
Did you guys enjoy it ? And yes we thought so too, however turns out our shock had failed and that was causing the issue

@AlwaysTouringАй бұрын
That would have been an interesting time !
@craigkeesing4096Ай бұрын
Love your energy guys! Try dropping your pressures a bit more on those Peron tracks. When you get it right you should just roll through the boggy stuff. Less revs and less pace will be easier on the track and you won't trash your gear. Agree with you on the Monkey Mia circus. Doesn't come close to a chance interaction with wild dolphins.🙂

NEAUH???? Can you simply say NOW clearly? ie N O W!!!! WHY do they have to act. Just talk normally and people will understand quite well what you mean. The sounds of the girl is hard to take. No need to raise the tone at the end of a sentence. They have LOTS OF STUFF weighing down their vehicle and the rear bar trying to break the chassis and having to fold it out twice EVERYTIME you want something inside the tailgate. Didn't think that through.
