Wow Melissa! I am still in awe of how awesome and informative this video was! I was searching YT looking for an alternative to Mailchimp for email marketing. Not throwing shade at Mailchimp, I just feel their platform is going in a direction that is not in alignment for what I need. I basically stumbled upon your channel. Now I'm not your typical audience for I'm not a course creator, however, your extremely detailed review of MailerLite sold me on my decision! I have decided to go with MailerLite and I also used the link you provided in the description to sign up for an account hoping that you receive affiliate credit. Again, I am not a course creator, I'm the CEO of a financial services company, but I am so impressed with the content of your YT channel, you now have a new subscriber, thumbs up and I am following your Instagram channel from my business IG account. I can't say thank you enough for the time and effort you put into creating wonderful content on your channel. I will definitely be checking out your other videos as well.

Hello, I wanted to make sure a few things before I finally buy 1. Is it possible for students to make a one-time purchase for the entire school, meaning access to the website itself, and from there all the content will be free to them? And don't buy each course separately 2. Do you have the option to pay by credit card from all over the world? 3. Is there a way to limit the users by IP address so that someone who purchased the school and logged in with the password will not transfer to someone else in another country? thank you

I never fully understood the whole no affiliate marketing thing, for example I offer virtual workshops and if I wanted to email my list the supply list with the amazon affiliate links in it, mailerlite wouldnt allow that? Seems crazy if so. Hmm

It is our understanding that affiliate marketing is prohibited, but using affiliate link are fine in most cases. You can look into this more in their Terms of Use: www.mailerlite.com/legal/terms-of-service Team Wit & Wire

Hi Melissa. Thank you for this video. I have an active training business, with 20+ recorded courses. I am interested in putting together various combinations of courses to receive certification in a specific area. Hi Melissa, I have found your channels immensely helpful. One thing that particularly impresses is your crisp and clear delivery. I’m interested in the tools and preparation you do for your videos. Do you read from a script, practice, learn by heart what’s your secret? Also, in your lessons, do yo make your slides from scratch, or do you use templates or sell templates. Both would be excellent topics for future videos. Thanks 😊

Thank you! And that’s a great question. For most videos, I prep notes in advance, but I don’t read off a teleprompter. (I definitely have in the past though, and it works really well for a lot of video creators.) My favorite app is called “Teleprompter” if you have an iPhone and search in the app store. For a computer, I like witandwire.com/bigvu I recommend downloading my Video Toolkit for a comparison on my favourite tools: witandwire.com/download-video-toolkit/

I wish there was more info for Wix as that's where my current website is. It would be nice to keep it all in the same place so I'm not paying for multiple subscriptions. I'm okay with paying more for a larger package but to have multiple subscriptions on multiple platforms sounds exhausting.

You can use Wix’s native course creation tools. I have a few students in our program Course Builders who use it and seem happy, but it isn’t something I’ve tested myself. If you want a tool that does everything - including website, email marketing, course creation, community, and services - then Wix might be limiting.

Nice video!!! Do you know if you can add in a true testing website (such as classmarker) to include better quiz and test features? Classmarker is amazing; creating question banks, quizzes, tests, reviews, etc.. Does ANY online course platform offer this ability? What would be your other recommendations for other platforms that offer the course design features that teachable has (without being a programmer). Thanks!! PS.. you should have WAY more subscribers.
@witandwire
@witandwire 14 күн бұрын
Great question. (And thank you!) I’m not familiar with Classmarker, but my hunch is that it’s more feature-rich than the quiz features in any standard course platforms. They usually only include basic multiple choice questions, and occasionally the ability to have open-ended questions or assignments. You can see a full free comparison of my recommendations here, although for transparency, quizzing and testing aren’t features I often use: witandwire.com/coursetoolkit
