Absolute LEGEND R.I.P Sean. Single handily changed metal drumming forever. Cant be overstated the effect he had on every up and coming drummer at that time. Everyone wanted to the do the Lombardo double bass and fast fills which are class. Dave changed the genre himself but when Human came out everyone was like wtf!!??Most of us didn’t know it was possible to add those grooves and pattern’s to that kind of music. His influence will never be forgotten. Im a nobody but he made me a better drummer and changed my whole outlook on what was possible. Being a kid from a nowhere ass town in the back end of Ireland and hearing this just blew my mind.?Thank you Sean, Chuck R.I.P, Paul and Steve and I have to mention Malone as well R.I.P. Although not a part of Death he no doubt had an influence on Sean’s playing. Thank you for the music guys 🤘🤘🤘✌️✌️✌️

Grateful I got to meet him & see him live. I was 18 in 1990-91 and a mutual friend took me to their rehersals...warehouse in Miami. Saw them at the Thrash Can in Miami around that time. Anyway, I remember seeing Sean playing drums for the first time and it blew my mind. I was thinking he was the most talented, amazing drummer I'd ever seen or heard. To me, it's like he becomes one with the drums. He was probably 18 or 19 then, I think. He was so humble and genuine. RIP, bro. Looking foward to seeing you play again. ✌️😇🥁🎶🌌😊

Watching it again and again, noticing all the details, it becomes clear to me that there has never been a drummer like him before and there never will be after. Thank you, Sean.

Short term goals and long term goals for sure. That point he's making or example he's giving around the 23 minute mark about practicing is interesting. It made me think of body bodybuilding. Imagine if you approach drumming like professional body builders approach body building. You would have certain days a week that you practice things and also different things each day. But it would repeat every single week or sooner. It would cycle

I like how his toms are laid out and the ride cymbals on both sides. Looks like an 8", 10, and maybe 12 or 13" tom and then a 14 to 16" size tom on his left. Dialed

Sean was such an amazing and a once in lifetime type player. I Saw Cynic on every tour starting with their first tour for Focus in 1994 and Sean and the band were mind blowing. I'm so glad we were able to film that Cynic Show in it's entirety in 1994. On the Traced in Air tour I was leaving the venue after the set and a there was Sean Reinert breaking down his drums with Paul just a few feet away, He was a super nice guy and I told him that I had copies of the set from Focus show in Phoenix that I burned on to DVD and asked if he would like a copy of it. He said that he would love to have it because they did not have much from that era as far as videos. He was so humble. its still hard to believe both Sean Reinert and Sean Malone left us so early in 2020. Two world class musicians that we will never see the likes of again.
