I have never played a Metal Gear but I have heard of its impact and hype so i bought MGS5 because it released at a time i could play it The gow original trilogy ended in the 360 era and this was the first gow on the xbox one so of course its gonna sell with the original fans championing the series along with it being a big exclusive

Its not a big delal but its quite a chore to play the OG copy of this game and having to pick between casual and hardcore difficulty solo. Maybe the devs intended you to play coop first try??

the OG gears of war will always be better than these new games... just like Halo its just another studio wearing the skin of franchise around to milk as much money from it as possible. 1 and 2 were a grimdark and brutal setting of humanity losing a war and this was kind of ruined by 3. tho 3 is still good, it isn't as good as the first 2. 4 and 5 etc. are just aesthetically trash and watered down in this corporate and sterile way. same as its writing as well. just look at the robot enemies, a concept that cartoons implement so it isn't violent for younger audiences. the coalition definitely went down the pegi 12 route to get more money compared to the first games M rating. (i know 4 and 5 are rated 18 but fuck off are they) the games shouldn't of gone past 3. maybe if we had a pendulum wars trilogy or game, at least then it can be distanced away from the Fenix trilogy. and would be fresher and not as lazy as playing as Marcus's and everyone's kids in this discount gears of way world.

I remember when I was playing this game as a kid back in the day, I was playing the part where you are inside the giant worm, and a weird bug occurred, in the final part in which you are supposed to cut all the arteries before the place is flooded with blood or else you drawn, but for some odd reason i wasn't able to cut the last one, there was like an invisible wall that didn't allow me to, so the place flooded, the screen was red, and Baird, Cole and Dom were getting all down instantly right after I revived them, I walk around for a while until the game crashed

Gears of Four: Uncharted Dad’s Fortune makes me wonder what another Gears in this vein could have looked like. 5 was experimental and unique to the series in its own special ways so it didn’t really have the same tone as 4’s Uncharted Summer Adventure
