Purist here. As long as you're not claiming it's historically accurate (which you say right at the beginning that you're not), I don't see the problem. We have the examples we have, and there's not much more we can say. Taking inspiration from history to make your own work of wearable art is a time-honored tradition, and anyone that has a problem with that is probably not a very pleasant person to be around in the first place. We're pretty sure Achilles' Mycenaean-era armor didn't look like how the Classical Greeks depicted it on their pottery, but that wasn't the point; the point was to draw from their history (or myth, but then the two were hard to separate back then) and make good art. I think they'd enjoy your work. Also, anyone who can look me in the eye and say some rich Theban landowner wouldn't absolutely salivate over this helmet is kidding both me and themselves.

Excellent Job!!! 👌🏼 Now when it comes to the name, the pronunciation is ‘x-e-foes’ / X (like fox - not Z like Xander) -> Xiphos P.S. I’m Greek so I think I’m qualified to make this comment 😂

Getting ready to have a forge day with my grandson's cub scout pack and was looking for a simple activity that the boys and their dads could do in about an hour (including safety time talk). Not only a thing they will be able to take with them, but every cub has a hat and neckerchief that has to be hung up where they can find it every week.

That is some serious effort. Classes, YT content, commissions, personal projects, and all the rest. How many hours a week do you put into it? I'm amazed that anyone has that much grit and determination to succeed. I try hard, but my age and body fails me when I try to reach for that level of achievment. Respect is due for your success.

Hello! I would like to give you an avice to the strange piece of armor at 23:30 in order to make it less uncanny. The advice is: when you look at that armor piece, think about the purpose of those curves, but not that it should represent the human anatomy. The armor will not work better with human body hammered into it. The curves are there essentially in order to make the sheet of armor less flat, but obviously i am less of an expert than you regarding curvatures of armor pieces
@denielalain5701

Hello! It was interesting that you started with the small curves, and then went on to the bigger curves. Could not you start with the bigger curves first? Was the order due to preference only?
