If meat can be added, but grease cannot, does the manual specify composting only meat not prepared using oil or grease, or is residual grease OK?

How often should you change the water? As in, every week or every couple of days? I live in a tropical area with lots of bright sun in my balcony

Don't buy any of these "composters". All they do is use a lot of energy to dry out food waste. It's just speeding up the natural process and using a lot of energy to do it. The link attached explains much better. It's a little long but worth the watch. Don't waste your money on the unit or the electricity needed to run it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mIm9eGChr9Gbhrs

I’d probably try it, if I wasn’t worried that my house would smell like urine. The way my backyard sometimes does from my dogs.

This is too rough Tenney. What do you mean by air purity? You have not covered the significant reduction of carbon dioxide that C4 plants have on the room at night ( bromeliads and succulents) which also exude oxygen by day. (not the plants you used which have a different system). You only covered the reduction of Volatile Organic Compounds, but ignored carbon dioxide and oxygen content. You also did not measure the air when the room had neither air purifier nor plants which is required as a control.

Love how short and easy this video was. Question: does the terra cotta pot you put it in have a hole? How do you water it regularly? Thanks
@tenneyplantsАй бұрын
Thank you! The terra cotta pot doesn’t have a drainage hole, I simply use it as my decorative pot to place the plastic nursery pot in. And I water it when I feel that the soil is starting to get dry. I hope that helps!

Nice review, unfortunately, you don’t talk about longevity. I put nothing but vegetables in my Lyko and I purchased it because of this review. Three months in to ownership, the gear stripped in the bottom part I followed all directions and made sure that I was only putting in approved Vegetables raw. That’s all I did. They misunderstood the issue even though I sent them multiple pictures sent me the wrong part the bucket and then when I told them it’s not the bucket it’s in the main part. They said OK would you like a refund I imagine because that gear is made from cheap pot metal so they probably know that it’s going to happen again. This product needs a redesign.

my philo brasil was so happy and then just took a nose dive. yellow leaves, lack of pigmentation in new leaves. Orange spots on some leaves. I've repotted, but Idk what to do. :(
@tenneyplants2 ай бұрын
Oh no! that's the worst when a plant takes a turn! From what you're describing I'd look into how you're watering it and it's lighting. Give it bright indirect sun and only water when the top 1-2 inches of the soil feel dry. I hope it bounces back!
@MoeDaMoe882 ай бұрын
@tenneyplants yep, nothing has changed, its been in the same spot for years. I was just getting ready to repot it and it went to shit. 3 weeks later I've now chopped up the whole thing. :(
