Thank you! I just recently got my first plant at work and I have been trying to care for it but the lower leaves kept browning and I couldn't figure out why- but this explained so much! Time to get a new pot vs whatever the one it came in!

Great video! Can I use a watering can as a planter, using the spout as the drainage hole?
@tenneyplants2 жыл бұрын
That’d be so cute! It’s best to have the drainage holes be at the base of the container so I’d recommend poking holes in the base of your watering can or putting it in a pot with drainage holes and then into the watering can so it can still drain.

So you put the drainage hole on top of a couple of books? 🤷♂️ I would nog like to have water on my furniture either Could I just 3D print a double bottom for the same effect?

I have a question about hanging pots. If they have drainage holes, how do you stop the water running through the bottom if you can’t put a saucer on the bottom of them am I watering them too much?

Oo that's tricky! If you aren't able to put a saucer beneath them, it might be best to take them down and water them in your sink or tub where they can drain freely without making a mess and hang them back up once they've stopped dripping.

Right after watching a video saying you don't need drainage holes, just watch how much you water you plants. Sigh!

Just depends on the person's preference I guess! I just like to lessen my risk of overwatering my plant and killing it, haha!
