The urine bag was a bit dodgy, but it's growing on me. There are many situations that we can not foresee, and something this simple, will be included in my own kit. Thanks for the info, becoming a new subscriber.

From a feminine hygiene perspective you could bring reusable cloth pads and a waterproof bag. They are sanitary and reusable. I’d bring five and while some are drying after being washed you can use your disposables. While I know the disposable ones are the best my only conserned is running out. The same goes for diapers for the kiddos
@reaganpruitt1578

Yes I have wanted to add some reusable ones! Its just that you have to have a way to wash them which is not guaranteed. Each kind has pros and cons. But since a bugout bag is meant to be a short term solution, i figured disposable would be the best route.

Nah. Why use some electronic charger to try to "disinfect" something, and a charger you need to study some complicated manual. Just use hydrogen peroxide, or rubbing alcohol. They re cheap and time tested effective for disinfecting wounds, surfaces.

Why everyone so afraid of hydrogen peroxide, now? I've been using it for road rashes, cuts, etc, and it worked perfectly. Sorry, I'm not ranting towards you, just the modern medical advice of today.
@reaganpruitt1578
@reaganpruitt1578 4 ай бұрын
I think honestly its just widely overused and if someone isn’t educated on how to use it, then it does more harm than good 🤷🏼‍♀️

@@reaganpruitt1578 I see, thanks. It works for me, so I will keep using it. I got really bad road rashes a few years ago, I did what modern doctors said to do, neoprene, bandages. Well, lots of pus came out, water drainage, had to change the bandages like 10 times in one day. After the second day, it looked really bad. So, I just let it scab, then sprayed it with h202 2-3 times a day, and it worked perfectly. This is just my opinion, but I actually think the hydrogen peroxide made it heal quicker.

FYI...check with your state laws but you should ALWAYS keep your prescription meds ESPECIALLY controlled meds in the original sript bottle. NOT loose in a pill box. Check on that to make sure :)

You're on the right track. But are you in an area that gets cold? If you are your water and such might freeze. Also be smart get the right car supplies. Jump cables, screwdriver and such, an extra bottle of oil,antifreeze, paper towels. These are things my father always taught me. Besides the other things, sand or kitty litter incase you get stuck.

I don't have a kid, so I have no need to actually watch this video but I'll watch it to help support your channel. Also, I'm very sorry to hear about your dog 😢 I'm sure you gave him the best life he could hope for. When I lost my dog, I read a short story called "The Rainbow Bridge" that helped comfort me quite a bit. Edit: on a side note, the foil blankets (mylar) are great for warmth, theyre actually so great they can be somewhat dangerous in a sense. They reflect so much body heat that humidity can become a problem and cause moisture to form on the inside. Just a heads up is all. But you did say it best as it can be used as a "last resort".

You have a cook set. You need a small propane setup to cook with. Some bug spray. A small tarp and tent setup. With guy lines and stakes. Set the tent up in the back yard and spray it well all over with a silicon sealant like scotch guard. And know how to quickly set up your own tarp and tent situation. In case you do have to set things up for yourself. You will be familiar with it and can do it with confidence. Be familiar with your husbands setup as well. If he gets injured some way. Then you can have his back and setup and handle that scenario as well.😊

Your video covering womens needs is very good. Many young women don't know that stressful situations can affect each woman different. For some it can stop a womans period. And for others stress can start a womans period. It is always good to be prepared with those items that you need. Great video.

Fantastic bag! I wanted to make a few comments. It's great that you talked about the feminine stuff. Just FYI, not even the military uses menstrual cups. But on the note of family, make sure you have baby specific supplies if needed. My wife and I have 2 boys, 12 and 10, and a 1 YO baby. I keep a suitcase that is similar to my ready bag in the military. I have general bug out bag items, but them also individual kits based on needs. I have my adult male kit, adult female kit, and 2 kid kits. They are each in their own dry bag. We also have a baby specific kit with diapers, wipes, changing pad, cream. I also have 4 food packs, one for each person. Finally, don't forget pet food or supplies. Your dog may be with you. I few other things. Bug spray and sun screen. Shower shoes for if there happens to be a public shower. You can get flip flops for a couple bucks a piece. I would actually carry a roll of quarters. We still have things in society that uses them. You can also use them for a washer and dryer. So carrying some detergent travel packs. Finally, you should look into some blousing straps. We use them in the military to cuff the bottom of our pants. You can get simple ones, or more heavy-duty ones. They are great because it allows you to adjust the length on your pants. I keep a couple of old uniforms in my bag because it's a nice durable material. With a belt and blousing straps, both my boys and my wife could wear them. I also keep plain large t-shirts. They can fit us all. Finally, I'm glad you had that pouch! When we were selling our house and moving and having a new baby we found out that we didn't have our documents in order. We spend the money and got duplicates of everything. Birth certificates, ssn cards, marriage license, wife's nursing license, my DD 214, vaccine list and covid card, copy of IDs, and our passports. We keep it in a pouch, like you have, in a safe, next to our bag. We can grab it when we go. You want to be able to prove you are who you say you are, and show relation. If you have a mixed family, this is important. My sister married a man of Mexican decent. He is a very big dark man. My sister is very petite and white. When they were living in Texas, there were multiple occasions in which they were stopped and questioned. They believed she was being trafficked. Once they saw her ID and name and their address matching, they feel pretty silly. Anyways, great kit!

Great video!!! You bug out bag is well thought out. Everyone should build their bug out bags to their own need & situations. Nobody in my household has periods, but we all still carry tampons and pads for first aid applications, fire starting, or in case someone else needs them. We carry at least a weeks worth of items in our bug out bags. I live in between two small towns in the middle of nowhere. I have more items for power, lighting, food, water, hygiene, communications, and medical/first aid than most because of my needs/situation. For a nuclear/an EMP event faraday pouches and/bags are worth considering. Also walkie talkies, an emergency radio, a bandana, and USB batteries are worth consideration too.

The plastic boxes hold pills that separate them and protect them from being smashed! They go in whatever bag im carrying. I dont put them in bags because the pills would be crushed and mixed together.
